Best way ive found to lose weight is by not calling it a diet (the moment i use the D word, i rebel and reach for the cadburys - ooops) easiest way to lose weight is cut out all junk but dont deprive yourself of your favourite things (sadly mine is choccy) Everything is ok in moderation.
If you struggle with diets then just go to portion control and reduce the size of the meals you eat, that way it wont feel so diety and it may be more succesful :)

are u a late night picker?? my h2b is the same crisps and cakes hes terrible for it late at night. if its any help you can buy pringles in lunch box packs, if u need to have a crispy fix that may be the way round it (smaller packets may make it easier to only have one small pack each) other idea would be eat the crisps, but then during the day graze on fresh fruit/celery/cucumber/plain nuts.
I find though the moment i say im on a diet its the moment that the diet goes out of the window. Providing you are trying to be sensible weight will drop off. (ive been takin adios tablets the last week 3 times a day and have lost about 4 lbs already) havent got loads to lose, but have put ona stone roughly since i got my dress (its been altered and now has a corset style back) and i have a steel boned corset im trying to break in aswell (mainly so i can sit and breath in it comfortaably)

I lost over a stone and did really well then Christmas came along and the healthy eating went out the window and I put the stone back on. Its taken me until now to really get my mind set to doing it again. It didn't matter how much I tried over the last few weeks I could not do it for the life of me and ate biscuits and chocolate by the bucket because I was stressing about trying to lose the weight again. The past few days have been so easy again and I've started up the slimming world again.

The more you stress the more you will eat bad things. Try not to buy the junk food in the first place so if you do find yourself wandering into the kitchen to eat something you can only eat something that isn't going to be bad for you. Have things like Jelly, slimming world strawberry mousse, fruit etc at the ready so its easy for you to reach for the good stuff when you are craving something sweet.

Of and if you want a chocolate fix try things like milky ways if only chocolate will do or I do a mousse with fromage frais, gelatin and a few spoons of options choc orange! Jaffa cakes are also not the worst thing in small moderation either.

Its the older version with red and green days but you can add extra easy to it by mixing the red and green days together and you just have one healthy extra from list A and one from list B. Lmao its the same reason why I haven't taken them. The doc gave me a box of them to try and get rid of some weight as I have mobility problems and its so easy for me to put weight on not moving about. As soon as I read what they did they went in the drawer!

I'm ok through the day, kids go to bed and my treat is a glass of wine and after that comfort food. I honestly don't know why I do it as it obvioulsy isn't a treat for my body and I'm certainly not happy with 2stone to loose. To make it worse after 4 c-sections (not my choice) I've been left with an awful overhang of tummy which I have become very depressed about, I have been approved to have abdominoplasty, as soon as I get down to an ideal weight for me, so it's not as if I don't have a goal, then of course there's a big event coming up soon..... On a positive note, I read about that Dukan diet in daily mail, and am giving that a shot for the next 4 weeks, which should see me through attack and into cruise phase - maybe I just need to re-educate myself! Next step - Hypnosis!!!!!

Have you read the side effects of the Dunkan diet? It can put so much strain on your kidneys that it causes them to fail. It really isn't a healthy way to do things. Any doctor would tell you just how bad it is.

i find it easy to diet now although its taken a while... everytime i had a craving for naughty food i wud just think about what my goal was. i do the keto diet almost all year through, the first few weeks are rough but your body gradually adapts. i never have carbs unless i have a cheat meal every 3-4 weeks and consume about 800 kcals a day, also drinkin water is the best way to starve off hunger and lose weight quick, i drink 3 litres a day x

My best advice for you would be to plan ahead what you want to eat that week, buy it and don't have those tempting pringles in the house, that way you can't eat them! If you don't have something you can't eat it! as was previously said moderation is key, portion control, but also allowing yourself a teat so you don't crave and binge - Good Luck!

Aren't Adios tablets just water pills? I must admit that I took water pills when I was on Scottish Slimmers and they helped me sooo much when losing my first big batch of weight. The only problem I had was that I kept taking them when i didn't really have any water retention and they dehydrated me. I ended up moody and not quite right. I start my diet tomorrow and will be getting some more water pills but now I know the side effects I know when to stop.

Dieting is always hard but just keep your beautiful dress in mind :) xxx

Snacking is what kills me too. I get home from work and I head straight for the kitchen to see what I can munch on. I then munch when I'm cooking which is ridiculous. Another major problem for me and H2B is that I always cook loads of food (I tend to cook from scratch) and we're essentially eating a meal for 4 between the 2 of us. It needed to stop and it will do from this morning :) xxx

Dieting is hard. I just wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I don't have a lot to lose at all, but I do have a layer of flab I would like to get rid of (and hips I'd like to be an inch or two smaller).

I eat 2 slices of wholegrain toast and honey for breakfast, a bowl of cereal (bran flakes & museli mixed) with semi-skimmed milk for lunch, and some kind of no-carb meal for tea - usually ham & cheese salad, or brocolli and chicken with fajhita spices with cheese on top, or small amount of bolognaise with mushrooms and peas.

I go to the gym 5 times a week, and do 8-9 classes.

In a month or so, I haven't lost a single thing, and the flab is still there.

I don't snack, I don't eat desserts or any kind of sweets unless its a night out (which so far I've only done twice this year), and I also don't drink alcohol unless I'm out (again only twice so far this year). I drink water all day, and only have 3 cups of tea with milk, no sugar.

ARGH! I have booked in with a personal trainer to try and find out what I'm doing wrong! Coz I have no clue!

that sounds nice! i guess i can have as much veg as i want right? i think thats what weight watchers say...NHR115 that is what we do! ill cook say a spag bol and there would be enough for 4 and sometimes i save a portion to take for my dinner at work but other times its just like i may aswell stick it on the plate! i think i am greedy...and i will do the healthy eating bit for a while and then i have a bad day at work, cant be bothered to cook and so get a takeaway! well i am going to stop...i have to...it scares me when ive been reading about wedding dresses tending to have to be up to two sizes bigger than your usual size! I dont want one that big!!! i have even taken to not going clothes shopping anymore...i buy them online, most are bigger than what i need but id rather them be too big than too small ---not bought clothes from a shop in months! i buy shoes instead...no matter how big i get my shoes still fit me! ive had my winge now...its all my fault i know...i want everyone to know that i do want to do something about it! i just find it hard =[ p.s sorry for the huge rant x

Set yourself little goals rather than one big goal, make changes gradually (increase walking slowly) never use the diet word lol. The adios tablets have been working for me, but im a terrible pill taker and forget more often than not, but when i do take them they do suppress my appetite and im left feeling fuller (which is good for dinner times)
IM trying to be senisble now a si only have a few weeks left, but goodness i like chocolate way too much to even contemplate banning it!! What you have to remember is that your H2B loves you for you and this is why he asked you to marry him (i know we do it for our own benefits aswell)
If its any consolation ljeh ive only just started back trying to lose weight, im definitely a last minute person and i know with determination even if i manage 7lbs ill be happy as a pig in a mud bath :) xox

Is it really weird that i'm actually enjoying dieting this time round!

We have an app on our phones that all our details are stored in and it tells us how many calories we can eat a day to lose how ever much we set it to a week... it will only let you set it to lose a healthy amount!

Then as the day goes on you input what you have eaten... ad it finds the calory content of it all... then at the end of the day it tells you how much you should weigh in 5 weeks. You can also add on any exercise youdo and it tells you how many calories you burn!

I only really want to lose a stone, but my partner wants to lose 4 before the wedding, and she would cheat if i wasnt doing it too.

I think my motivation is seeing her happy when she weighs herself each week.

I think the key to a good diet is not doing it on your own. We no longer have high calory food in the house, and havent eaten bread in a month, or really potatoes very often... We still eat all the little treats just not as much of each! xx

For the snacking thing I have made up lots of sugar free jelly and have fat free yogurts and fruit to pick at. Sometimes I will treat myself to a jaffa cake or if I really want a crunch I eat a cereal bar that is 62 cals. We very rarely eat crisps, choc or biscuits so if I want some I have to go out to the shops to buy it and by the time I have thought about getting to the shops etc I have found something else to munch on.

Mini's are always a good thing if you do want a fix as it gives you a taste without you having to eat loads of it.

I'm in the same boat. Last summer i lost around a stone in weight not from dieting, but from cutting out booze during the week and not snacking at night (drink makes me snack) but over christmas I've put it all, plus some, back on. My sensible eating phase starts again today (6 months til big day!)
No more booze mon - thurs, no more sticking my head in the fridge before bed eating cheese and drinking milk, no more than ONE take away a week, and get back into my long walks with the dog.........fingers crossed that will work otherwise i may have to buy a new wedding dress as i bought it when i was slim(mer)

We can do it Ali. I'm replacing our cheese with low fat (which we don't eat that often) The h2b has been trained to put fromage frais in the mash (not pineapple cottage cheese like he did last night lmao) He also uses frylight not oil. I drink low sugar squash and skimmed milk. I've also got sweetener in for when he does stewed fruit rather than sugar. We are also making pasta sauces from fresh tomatoes, herbs etc rather than using the jars which have loads of sugars in.

Its amazing how these little things can make a big difference.

YES WE CAN JOJO!!!!! I've bought low fat brie, and tbh i'd rather go without, its horrible lol. I don't have sugar in my drinks, have changed our milk to that 1% fat one, don't really drink pop as i prefer sparkling water and its only 17p for a big bottle from as-da, make all sauces and meals from scratch as don't like microfood, its alcohol and take aways that are my downfall. I've banned all the engineers at work from having junk food at lunch and i've filled the fridge up here with sandwich stuff to stop me being temped.

    WE CAN DO IT GIRLS!!!!!!

Asda have some cheap electronic ones that are really good. Also remember to take your measurements as you might not lose weight but lose inches. Being able to monitor your acievements will help you to stay focussed. If you are doing badly then you know to work harder or if you do well it spurs you to carry on because you can see the results. If you just stand in front of a mirror then you will just look at what is still there not what is gone.

Lol I'm in the same boat too, I find it so hard to diet here specially when it's cold. I do better during summertime cos I don't tend to fancy cakes as much. Does adios really work? I used to take them and couldn't see any difference so thought it's just a placebo. However I used to take lipobind and that did work as long as you do control what you eat too. Couldn't take them at the moment as I'm still breastfeeding but as soon as I'm not anymore I can't wait to lose all this pregnancy weight off!
