Grrrrr....

I really put a lot of time into research for the perfect invite - my taste is much louder than h2bs but they don't differ totally. Anyway we had decided to buy a template off etsy (we both never wanted any stuck on glitzy stuff but a clean and neatly designed card) and print at home on cardstock off the bay.

It took me weeks of suggesting styles to him until I really fell in love with one and he liked it straight away too! Anyhoo - today I finally wanted to buy the template - and it's frickin' gone! At firdt my heart sank because it looked like the seller had pulled out of etsy but then I found a note saying that the seller is gone on holidays until the 23rd of Jan and will then be open for business again.

If I wait that long invites won't be out until mid-February and the wedding will be in May. That's a bit late.... Mainly for chasing people up and inviting back-up...

Aaarrrrgh.... Wish we would do things straight away!!

Im sure you mentioned you have a website set up??
Is that already to go live or live already??
Maybe one option to get round still having your chosen invites would be you could email/call/text/message everyone with the website details and let them know official invite will be out in Feb? That way people have seen something "official" and when invites go out the RSVPs should fly back xx

Have you contacted the seller in the hope they read any mesages and take pity lol

I have an ebay shop and even when i put up a message I still end up processing orders when I can - normally cause i like to spend as quick as I earn.

I would definitely try and get in touch with the seller but keep looking around in case you find something else that you like just as much maybe something similar!

Hope you manage to get it sorted! I'm very intrigued to see what kind of design you might be doing... I love simple homemade invites, we've only had ours out a week tomorrow but we've already had compliments on them!

I have found the seller on Facebook - so fingers crossed that she reads it while gone away!

She's also linked to a blog on FB - where I could download a pic,so it's in my album now (the template of course). I LOVE it. But this graphic designer has many really beautiful designs. Swoon...

It's just people have to book flights and people in the UK have to take the day off from work - it's a Friday we're getting married. But I WANT those invites so I will wait :-)

I hate that when I miss things, at least the seller is just on holiday and may still be able to reply to you. I tend to snap things up now if I like them rather than wait and then I hope I don't change my mind about them! lol x

Ah I'm sorry, we just have enough in savings to get stuff. Won't be any money left come D day though, have had to sacrifice a new kitchen/car for our wedding. I was hoping to go part-time at work too but h2b's job was on the line so had to say no...boo! That's life eh x

Nearly won at work! Got 5 numbers and then the last one was one number out! So between 19 of us we got approx £200 each. But that paid fir us to go to my friend's wedding in Plymouth :)

i made mine, took me ages and wen i finished i was like i spent hours on these and they will end up in bin lol well bar the parents ones lol

Yes - she said it will still be a few days but that's more than ok - after all she's on holidays and it's Christmas!

And I still need to order cardstock and post is slow now anyway.
