guys I just wanted to share this with u - my grandad is not in a good way at all, today the docs asked my gran for permission for DNR (do not rescusitate) - we don't think he'll see the weekend,
well I've been with my gran tonight for a few hours and have come away really thinking after the things she was saying to me, she told me to cherish what I have while I have it cos you don't know how lucky you are to have someone til u are about to lose them - - they have been been together for 63 years!
I don't want to bring anyone down but after that I came home and gave Dave a giant hug, I'm gonna try really hard to appreciate what I have!!

It is so true! Hope ur ok? My great Aunt died aged 98 last month. My great uncle also 98 is still going, bless him. He was extremely upset and said pretty much what ur gran said. He also said how lucky he has been to have been married the woman of his dreams for 80 years! So beautiful! x

I'm ok thanks it's my gran I'm worried about - she doesn't know life without him! Just makes you think - I'm always complaining about stupid things, but none of it matters when it comes to stuff like this x

Wise words from your gran - it's so easy to take things for granted or to get annoyed at the most ridiculous of things. Cherish every moment because one day it won't be there anymore.
Sending all my love to you and your family

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

Aww hun. I know how hard this is. Big hugs.
Since my nan died at the age of 58 I realised that life is too short. I still get angry over things, but dont stay mad for as long. Before Ben goes out I ALWAYS give him a big kiss and cuddle, look him in the eyes and tell him I love him. I also save any text messages he has sent me until he gets home. I got that from my mum after my dad nearly died in a motorbike accident.

    Thinking of you hun
    xxx

I lost Connors dad Ben, 3 years ago, he was 34, hed been awaiting a heart transplant for a long time. He told me the same. To cherish every moment, live every day loving the ones you love. Since Ive met Steve, hes hugely special to me but he doesnt always understand why I give him the biggest hugs for no apparent reason or pour out my heart sometimes in a letter to him telling him how special he is and how much I love our life with our children. I feel for your gran right now, to imagine how much love they have built up over those 63 years, it must be unbearable for her. xxx

Hi hunni my h2b just lost his gran recently and she was very unwell before so we know how hard this time is for you. Just keep being there for him and your gran that is really the only thing you can do. He might be unwell and it may hurt to see him that way but you must cherish the time you have left together. Big hugs hun we're here if you need us xxxx

My grandads in hospital too. Hes 95 and having breathing problems, my mum and dad are spending all day every day sat with him. Fingers crossed hes going to be ok.
He lost his wife when my dad was 18 months old, about 54 years ago and he never remarried. I think its so sweet and a little sad that he found the love of his life and never wanted to find someone else. I guess thats true love for you.
