Dave's dad has offered him his wedding ring. He is still married to his mum but he says he'd rather pass it down to Dave so he can wear it and keep it (his Dad doesn't keep very well and I think he is thinking he will leave it for him but just give it now so he can use it when he gets married). I think it's a lovely idea to have something so sentimental what do u think? Only thing is I'm having a white gold band to go with my engagement ring and Dave originally wanted a white gold band, do u think it'll matter that it's a different colour than mine?

If the ring means that much to him, who cares if they match?

it doesn't matter as long as you are both happy with it besides this way the ring has more emotional value! xxx

He can always have it melted down into a St Christopher or something else, to remind him of it. But it's up to you about colour of the rings x

I know I think you're right, the sentiment means more, think we're gonna get it engraved with ours and his parents wedding dates, if they'll both fit x
