It just ticked in my head today that I am going to have to wait years before Im married. My partner has mentioned that he would like our son to have a sibling. I have wanted this for a while so very pleased with this. We plan to start trying at the end of this year. I would hate to get married without this unborn child so I have a long wait. My main issue is now I dont feel engaged anymore due to this long wait.

i hope it isnt too long a wait. at least it will give you time to save. if i was you i would save a little every month. i wish i had done this when i first got engaged!!

You can always look for ideas of things for your wedding so when the time comes you know what you do and dont want

congrats on trying for a baby. i cant wait to be trying!! x

Its nice to hear someone postponing for a more positive reason (I get sad when I see people on here cancelling or postponing). You can save up more waiting longer and have more of the stuff you want (including both your children at the wedding) (or more if its twins lol)

Im not happy about waiting but i would be even less happy if i have to explain to a child that they werent at our wedding because we couldnt wait

We hadnt set a date and have not spent any money making it alot easier to prospone. I always thought I would have a long engagement but never anything more than a couple of years lol

I wouldn't have thought it would b a problem having to explain to a child why they werent at their parents wedding? Most kids arnt born by that point!! lol!

my friends got married in November 2009 on their 10th anniversary. They had a daughter at this point who was 2 and a half and Laura was pregnant at around 24 weeks with a little boy, so their son was part of the wedding too! Laura wasn't best pleased that she couldn't drink on her wedding night Laura is trying to convincebut she was pleased because their children were both there in some form! Now Laura is trying to convince Matt for baby number 3!!!! maybe all three may be present at my wedding, but doubt it! xxxx
