It's very bridey for a bridesmaid dress. It's lovely but i would expect a bride to wear that, not a bridesmaid as it's quite a show stopping dress, unless your dress is a big statement dress then i'd expect this dress to overpower it? What is your dress like?

I think its gorgeous and I love the colour.

I also agree it does look a little bridey, but if it's what you want there's nothing wrong with that.

I think its lush, its not white or ivory so I dont think it looks bridey, and its very fairytale, which would make your classic dress stand out even more! If you like it, go for it. Don't listen to OH's family, they're only trying to shove their oar in (trust me lol) xxx

Absolutely stunning dress. Love the colour, love the style! But you dont want to be overshadowed by your BMs massive dresses. So if yours is a lot biggern than theirs, then I would go for it. But even if not. You chose this dress for a reason. If it's what you want, then go for it.

Thanks for the feedback, I do have a princess dress which is quite big. Its strapless with quite a bit of lace and a train.

This is the thing, they do have a shorter version of this dress. I have three bridesmaids who are wearing this dress. The reason I went with the long one was due to my sister, who bless her is a size 22. So wearing the short dress is not appealing to her.

I understand your point about it looking bridesey...I guess I liked that it looked a little different.

I offered his two sisters the opportunity to be bridesmaids at first it was as you all said they thought this was I dress I should wear like you. But then went on to complain about my wedding colour, material, location of wedding and basically everything lol. One comment made was that my H2B shouldn't be getting married first as he is the middle child. This is why I reached out as I wasn't sure if the view was valid or if this was just the bitterness.

i love your bridesmaid dresses!! they are a lil different but you will stand out from them i think they complement your dress options beautifully so wouldnt worry go for it :) xx

That's what I thought too. I love simple elegance. I also love the classic look of the lace against the modern styling of the dress.

The thing is I'm trying my hardest to not get I between or involved in his family drama as last thing you need at wedding prep time is additional stress! He has been really good in supporting me, but you know sometimes you need to step outside yourself and look at the situation and see if it is really how you first thought.

My bridesmaids are great, I have my two sisters and my best friend. Then my nieces are junior bridesmaids.

You are right you should do what makes you both happy. At the end of the day it both of your special day and no one else's. Therefore as much as we want everyone to be happy, they should really be happy that we're happy. I hope this time it all works out for you xxx

wow the colour of the dress is beaut it is very fairy tail but your dress is also very show stopping so i don't think you need to worry :) , at the end of the day its your choice and long as your happy and your bridesmaids like them then that's what matters ......P.s i wish i was your bridesmaid haha jealous :)
