another reason i like the reg office we'll be using, friends got married there last year so we know that they'll let us have anything we want (within reason), we're going to have a guitar interlude which is on one of OH friends albums, and may be having one of their songs for first dance too if we can get hold of the correct version

I'm getting married in a Roman Catholic church in Manchester (same diocese as urs). we're gonna have pachabel on CD with strings for bms to enter to and then our organist is play the wedding march for me and dad. During the service our friend is singing ave maria to CD backing music. Our other friend is singing 'you raise me up' after communion. Although we had to choose a song that was acceptable for the church. I think we must have looked at the same list as u. Our priest has been very accomodating and basically said do what we want although within reason. I think its ur priest hun x

    hey hun,

you should be able to have anything religious, as others have said, each priest is different. but generally anything religious is acceptable.

For NON-RELIGIOUS ceremonies the same rules apply reversed. for instance you can not have anything remotely mentioning a higher power, so no corinthians (however im not sure if its possible to shorten it) I'm having a Civil Ceremony in a hotel, i'm also a wedding planner but when searching i can not find anything that says about it. registry office ceremonines have the same rules and stipulations as civil ceremonies (in a hotel etc).

If all else fails and you want a non-religious reading/music, you could have these in a "diy" version, so have your ceremony, wait til your officiant leaves then have the readings/music. Or in a religious one have it at your reception.

Right.... finally got hold of organist from my church.. she is available for our wedding but is charging £100 to play for us.

But, we are having PACHABELS CANNON as my entrance song... I confirmed with my priest after finally getting hold of him and apparently its religious! so Im happy! :) xx
