sit and work our your budget. Then go for there. Find venues that fit your budget, then go get it booked cause 2012 is getting busy already!
I don’t repeat gossip so listen very carefully!!

Find a venue now- its Olympics time, so places will be filling up. Also church if your having one.

You have bags of time still. Just work out what you can afford to spend for everything. Then work out what your budget will allow so say if you want a large wedding you need to look at places that won't cost the earth for the amount of guests or you could have a smaller intimate wedding so you can splash out a little more. Work out what is important to you both and you will soon be able to decide what is the best way to approach this. You can then do a venue search to your requirements so you can tell them your budget and decide even before you go and view if it is possible or not. There is no point in wasting time viewing something you know you can't afford. Once the venue is booked, church etc then you need to book the vicar or registrar as that is the legal bit you need. This can only be done one year or less before the day you get married. Start working down your budget and book the things that are important to you like photographer, cars etc. You can't do much until you have the venue booked as that sets the date. Make sure if you are getting married in sept next year that you order your dress no later than feb to allow for fittings etc and the dress to be made.
