I still have no wedding ring thanks to the jewellers making completely the wrong ring for me and now after picking the suits up (which are over a week late), we discover we are missing 2 complete suits and out of the 6 we do have, we have 4 completely different coloured cravats!! Melt down has begun..............arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
A word of advice ladies - stay away from a high st jeweller with the initials FH and a suit hire company SU!! The suit company, I have now changed it's name to f**K you instead of it's origional name!!!!

I would stand in the hire shop and stay there until you know more suits and matching cravats are on their way and guaranteed to be there next day. Tell them you are on multiple wedding forum sites and will make sure everyone knows not to come to them for suit hire - nothing like the threat of lost trade to get things moving! As for the ring - maybe get a cheap stand in just for the wedding day and replace it with the real one afterwards? Or just demand your ring to be done in time or else tell them you are on multiple wedding forum sites... same again!

My dad didnt have a ring at his wedding... only the bride needs to have a ring! He does have a ring but never actually worn it, i agree with other poster, use a stand in and get the real ring another time, that could be nice. As for suits well as others have said you need to go back and say its not right!

Thats the jewellers Dove!! I never intended on buying from there, was actually looking for gifts a while back and happened to ask if they did a white gold and ruby wedding ring and they seemed so helpful that I ended up ordering from them. To be fair, the shop staff have been great, it's whoever makes their rings thats the problem even to the point where they tried to persuade me to keep the one they sent despite it being the wrong size, wrong width and wrong stone!!.
Well the update is the suit hire company are doing their best to get the right cravats in and tomorrow I'm going to chase up the ring again.
I will keep you all posted but if anyone lives near Bluewater and fancies a row, let me know and you can come with me!! We could make a chain across the door way and refuse to move!

I would do the exact same as what Janey said! Go in there in full bridezilla mode and let them have it! and tell them you are not going anywhere until its sorted and you want a discount off for all the stress and hassle too! if that doesnt work, then cry!! I assume most of the staff will be men, and they really dont know how to handle a girl who cries so they might get their finger out a bit quicker!

The Glades is as bad as the Walnuts.......just bigger and even more scummy people!!!! As for Orpington bowling, attention seeker you are mad to even set foot in the place!! I would only go there if I was in the mood for arguing with a pikey!!!
Anyway, latest update is I've been promised the ring will be in Friday. The rest of the suits and the right colour cravats came in last night but now they have sent my 10 year old son an waistcoat that would fit at 2 year old!! So they have promised us they'll get another one in my 5:30 tomorrow.
So fingers crossed, I will be far less stressed tomorrow evening!
On the plus side, I picked mine and my bridesmaids dresses up yesterday and my favours turned up this morning.
It all seems very real now!
