I have just received a quote from a Hog Roast company that specialise in a wedding menu which has been quoted at 3950 for 100 people... thats 4 times the amount I thought it would be :( Anyone else having hog roasts and got quotes?

Far far far too much! Google it, and shop around. Also if you have a family butchers near you, ask them if they know of anyone they could recommend.

130 for £850 - thats for piggy, baps, stuffing, and apple sauce - if we want that with pots, & vegies and dessert its £16 per head with our linen etc included xxx oh & thats at a hotel too ccc

At nearly £40 per head for a hog roast that sounds excessive. Dont let one quote put you off definately shop around! Im sure there are other ladies on here can tell you rougly how much they are paying. xx

They are there all day, offering canapes, hog roast, salad or vegetables and potato, and they serve your cake for desert. They also provide the crockery and cutlery but still... it seems so much?

It is about that for just the main - when you start adding canapes on and time and them sorting other things on the you will be adding on but not to £40 per head xxx

Best friend had one last yr - with the meat/ bits/salad and pots and it cost her £8 per head - but we sorted the cake etc out xxx Remeber the 2 & 1/2 % vat increase xxx

That is WAAAAY to much, at our venue its like 13 quid per person, so for a hundred only 1300. Dont pay that hun, shop around! x x x

don't tell its WEDDING lol we said its just party so its cost Slices of succulent Pork, Stuffing, Apple sauce, Whole-grain or English Mustard and Floured bap Along with Roast potatoes, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Yorkshire pudding and Gravy.

Ours is £1200 for a 100 and that includes starters all the salads ect plus crockery and knives and forks and serviettes i would check some other places if i was you xx
