I thought rather than clogging up the General thread I'd post a separate one here regarding the DVD that loads of us have been mentioning!! I thought like the MFP thread was such a success maybe we can all come to here and share tips/advice, experiences etc etc. And all moan about it together!

So just done my first 'session'.... holy moly how do any of you get past level 1?! Really?! I know I jokingly said if I didnt come back within the hour to UKB you'd find me collapsed in a heap on the rug.... well I definitely ended up on the rug thats for sure!

It wasn't TOOOOO bad to be honest, I wasn't as strawberry coloured as I used to be after a bit of exercise! But I really did struggle with the Jumping Jacks, Skipping and stuff, I always seem to be out of sync with the instructor?! Is it because I have smaller legs so have to take smaller steps I don't know! Always end up doing a few more than them!
& maybe think I should have used a smaller weight as I have those sets of 3 (all pathetic kg compared to OH's!) but chose the 'heaviest' out the sets!

Just had a nice hot shower and now im sitting here im sure I'll seize up at some point! Oh well, I have to admit a bit more successful than I originally thought but there will be no talk of moving up to Level 2 anytime soon!!

How is everyone else getting on with it? xx

I liked it and think i will definitly do my best to keep it up for 30 days. But I dont think her cool down is enough, I did extra on top of that cos I could feel myself seizing up. I enjoyed it though, but ashamed to say Im very pink in the face afterwards! I need
better weights though, tins of beans and bottles of water isnt going to cut it lol.

Me and H2b both did it, we also both took a pic of each other and we're going to see what the difference is after 30 days. also going to write on the back our start date and our starting weight. Must say I look a right heffer in the leggings and vest top - the whole reason why Im doing this DVD in the first place!

Ah I didn't think of taking a photo! Your a real 30 Day Shredder aint ya, I've seen all the stuff online! TBH I am not expecting those sort of results, as I'm sure those will have gone and done Level 3 for most of it and the food/diet alongside! My OH won't do it as its too 'girly' apparantly haha. I bet he'll try it one day when I'm out and just not admit it!

I'll see how it goes, I'll definitely do it during the week when OH isn't here haha, I go so pink its unreal, no where near as bad as I went before (I used to go brighter than the pink of the UKB post button! And that was after 5-10min light workouts!!)
If I do it during weekdays and rest at weekends then so be it, I'm sure it will do something!
Well for the time being tins of beans and water will do you fine! I already had a mini dumbell set, the cheap ones from Arg0s so just used those, but definitely will use the med or light ones tomorrow!

I did sort of enjoy it especially more than I originally thought I would and yes the hot shower after was amazing, except I just started to run (well speedily move) downstairs to get post and then my legs just kicked in...!! oops...!x

I have that dvd but I like the ripped in 30 better - the same 3-2-1 system but with 4 levels instead and the cool down is better than in the 30DS. Best thing I find with RI30 is that you only ever do 1 move and its never repeated again so in levl 2 everything is different and level 4 is a KILLER!!!!! You can watch the full version of level 1 on u-tube as well

I really wouldnt worry about weight because with these work outs you are building muscle go off your measurements - i do my arms, bust, upper/lower waist, hips and thighs

Haha, Id love to take the credit for it but it was h2b's idea lol. I dont think weekdays will be a problem for me, but im normally so busy of a weekend that i dont know when I'll be able to fit it in!
I have so much on after work that H2b suggested getting up half an hour earlier and doing it before work, and its a good way of waking up :)

H2b said he will get some cheap weights, he has kettle bells but theyre not really suitable. So the beans can stay for now lol xx

Beans are just as good! It's not necessarily about the weight of them its the fact your using something against a pull etc!

Yeh ill probably do 30 days, but over 6 weeks rather than a month! as then just during week! Least you've got the OH's support! I have it for my WW side of things, when having a good wk he keeps me on track and tells me to be good when im with my mate that doesnt understand good eating haha.

    xx

Yeah Kimi, its the jillian michaels one, most websites have a deal at the moment and are doing it for £5. Way I see it, we can get two rounds of 30 day shredding in before christmas and be slinky for christmas lol.

Im lucky that hes on a fitness freak regime at the moment, hes training for the royal marines to go in as an officer, so I get a lot of support, especially for the SW meals. Complete nutter my oh :) xx

Beans are good, heavier weights may leave you super sore for a couple days. The workout is about cardio and loosing weight and that's hard to do when you're to sore to workout.

haha my OH goes through stages of tracking on MFP and doing a few weights in our homemade 'gym'... my exercise bike, my 'dumbbells', 1 small dumbbell of his, those round disc things to help with press ups.. (i cant do normal 1s i have to do the pathetic box ones!) and his bench....
at moment he's on a 'break'... but hes stick thin and always will be so dont see why he moans haha. wants a beach bod for honeymoon! pah!

yeh Kimi I got mine for £5 off rainforest site.

and I will definitely be reverting back to the smaller weights from tomorrow as just like Samantha has said, dont want to be THAT sore just want to lose the flabby bits haha.

I'm ok now, havent seized as much as I thought I would but havent sat down for that long today so will see what tonight / tomorrow morn brings!!

Well Natalie, as long as you stick with L1 too I won't feel too bad haha xx

How long is each session? I know everyone says finding time is an excuse but I set off for work at 6.30 and get home at 19.30 after I have cooled dinner (I'm also the first home) I'm knackered. Would love some kind of miracle cure to tone up :-)
