this will be my 2nd marriage but 1st for my H2B, I have got an idea from somewhere that if you have been married before you cant get married again in a Chrurch, do you know if this is the case as H2B has picked the church for us to get married in, it is so picturesque right next to a waterfall and dont want to be disappointed.

hi hun my h2b has been married before but i havent and we are getting married in a church, it all depends on the vicar hun some church's will just say no where as the one we had we had to go talk to the vicar about h2b's previous marriage and the breakdown of it, we were honest and open and he agreed to marry us the best thing for you to do is just speak to the vicar and see how he stands on marrying a divorcee i know what your going through i was there just a few weeks ago and the first church i approached just said a flat no which did upset me but now im glad as i have the church of my dreams. i hope it works out for you xxxx

Is it Church of England? I only know that in Catholic ones you can't get married if you have been previously married in Catholic Church. For Church of England, I think you can depending on your vicar.

Catholic Church dont like if been married before.so if its CC you cant.because of that we getting married in Church of England church.

It's crazy isnt it... I think the church needs to be a bit more realistic. Nobody getting married thinks that their marriage is going to end in divorce but it happens. 2nd time round I'd imagine you'd have to be extra sure it's what you want, which it obviously is! x

this is my second marrage and i was worried too luckily the church we are marring in does marry divorcees the only thing the vicar ask me was was i the innocent party and as i divorces him coz of an affair he had he said we could. our church is church of england

This is MY second marriade too... and Kevs third... LOL glutton for punishment... His first marriage lasted 6 months.. he was too young (19) and in the army.... his second lasted 7 years.. but was with her 15 years... she had affair...
now he is making the plunge one last time... Third time lucky he reckons! We really are not into all that God palarva, so we have opted for Civil Ceremony!
