sounds like most of you are having a lot of guests, our figures are 30 for ceremony and wedding breakfast and 60+ guests for the evening. I paid some more of our venue balance off yesterday, this year is going rather fast, its so exciting

Im quite excited that we only have our venue to pay and its only about £1500 left that were paying in a couple of weeks max, £190 to venue dressers (waiting on email with new invoice) £50 for hair and makeup which im paying on Friday and £100 on the night for entertainment.

I've been very organised from the start lol.
OH put the playlist together last night for our music in the background and he said he enjoyed it because it's something he took control of.I said you can do that with pretty much everything you know lol he doesn't have to wait for me to give him a job!

Sent out our second lot of day invited today that need posting, with the menu insert in them. the first lot have stated arriving,and people love them and have started popping up on the wedsite. so glad they have worked it out.

Ours savings are going great too, we only need to save another 1k, although we will also need to save for our honeymoon clothes, spends & excursions.
April we haven't even thought about music yet, I think this might be something the vicar will be going through with us this saturday.
Whovian your flowergirl dress is beautiful & your Dr who stamps & seal are fab. I showed them to my stepson who is a huge Dr who fan & he was amazed by them, he has now added the stamps to his birthday list lol.

I'm thinking of wearing a yellow dress I bought for the honeymoon for my hen do, but that means I need to lose a bit more weight before then as it doesn't fit at the moment-but I refused to buy the bigger size.

we have also done well with saving for the wedding even though our budget has nearly doubled from our original estimate, I did not realise how expensive wedding related things were. However we haven't gone too overboard with things and we have managed fine while been able to have the things that are important to us. We have paid for our honeymoon and have 6 months to now save our spending money ect.

MOH had said she does not think she will be able to go on hen. I get the feeling ages not that fused about even being bm, my other are the ones organising everything. I'm wondering if she just said yes because she felt obligated coz she is my cousin.

My cat is obsessed with boxes too!
I read all your posts daily but haven't had much to share with you just lately.
But I've finally got some news...my dress is in the shop! Going next Thursday to try it on with my shoes, undies ect. Going to play with veils too.
And our venue wants us to do our 3 month review and menu tasting soon too. Although the wedding planner is leaving this week. They've got someone else starting mid March, but this will be the third wedding planner we've had. Got to run her through everything again. It's a bit close to the wedding so I'm not happy it's someone else. Let's hope she's good.

Well today we've booked 2 nights in a luxury hotel in the lakes and just had our friend over who's sorting our cake! I think I'm gunna have to pop into town tomorrow and get some more ribbon in a different width for the cake and also send off my passport! Yeyy x

When my dad visited a few days ago he showed me some of the iced flowers he's been making for my cake, he's made 100 so far No idea how many he'll need??

This is the look were going for but he's done the flowers to match my bouquet, except the lily. He added the lily as he needed a more substantial flower to place an iced butterfly above, using clear wire to give the effect that it's flying.

Don't even talk to me about cats and boxes! I brought home 3 boxes the other day one for wedding stuff, one for the junk under my bed and one for my cat Kitty, Bill isn't that bothered by boxes it's bags with him. Anyway I gave kitty her box thinking is be able to get on and fill the others ...wrong, I popped to make a drink and came back and found bill sitting on top of the wedding stuff in the one box and kitty in the junk box!

When I was at my mum's at the weekend my brother was trying to build some flat pack furniture but the cat kept sitting on bits of the packaging and at one point the wooden sides of a bookcase. She looked so cute it was impossible to move her! Cats are awesome :)

Aww I miss having a cat! OHs family are all very 'dog' but I was brought up with cats and they hate them :( so I said to OH if I can't have a cat, he can't have a dog lol.
I'll put a link on my wall of where we're to, it better be good because it's £200 a night it's fair to say I was a little resistant lol.

It has a spa bathroom with a big jacuzzi and mini sauna :) literally will not leave the hotel haha. The hotel itself has a big indoor pool too x

The change of ownership is due to a change in my family circumstances as my husband has been fortunate in receiving a promotion which will mean that the family is moving abroad. Having spent 10 years building a successful business, the decision to move has been extremely difficult.
However, I am delighted to be transferring the running of the business over to two extremely talented cake designers/bakers, business partners Salome and Selina. Salome has worked with me seasonally for the last 8 years and is a highly skilled and qualified confectioner with 18 years’ experience in the industry. She has worked as a college lecturer for the past 5 years and regularly hosts her own cake decorating Master Classes around Glasgow. Selina has worked in the bakery industry for 30 years, and worked on the QE2 as a baker and confectioner. Selina is also a college lecturer in the bakery department at the City of Glasgow College working alongside Salome and together they made a wonderful cake as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. As they both have the same passion for attention to detail as me I am confident that One Fine Day is in very safe hands.

I suppose its more of the unknown more than anything. the cakes we tasted were out of this world and our cake isnt exactly cheap. Ill speak to my oh tonight and see what he thinks, we have our cake tasting at the end of may so even if we go and dont like thier cakes (which im sure they will be just as amazing) then we still have time to go elsewhere.

nice cake flowers mrs robson the cake looks so elegant. today me and my friend are doing a small replica version of our wedding cake to see how it tastes and looks ect. she is a baker by trade and offered to assist me in doing my own so fingers crossed, even though she will do the vast majority

Maybe see if you can go in earlier Elizabeth for the cake tasting? If you don't like the new people then 3 months is not a great deal of time to source a new supplier, especially for an August wedding :/
