Bethan im not sure how much bigger the skirt is but it looks bigger in the pics, when comparing the 2 dresses.
Im just thinking that they get the fullness of the skirt by having alot of layers & if I did decide the skirt was to full then a seamstress should easily be able to remove some layers?
Fingers crossed I can try it on soon, I've also emailed m0ri l33 to find out if any closer stores have a sample of it.

Teresa I had no clue what shape dress I wanted so I tried on every shape going, the fish tail dresses looked awful on me & god knows how your supposed to go to the loo lol. I tried on 2 dresses with full skirts, they put a puffy under skirt on me 1st then the dress (both were organza skirts) & I just felt huge & would have been worried about taking out the church pews as I walked down the aisle!! The A line did seem to work best for my figure (hour glass) & I have decided I love trains on dresses.
The m0ri l33 dresses that I love all look almost the same but have slight differences but none of them have trains!! but I feel like I need to try it on as in my head I want that dress & I think I will be comparing every dress to them until I try it.

Christina - we have had quite a few negative comments too! Mainly "you are too young to get married" but we generally just brush it all off. No matter what you do it's always going to upset someone whether they voice their opinion or not! I think my mum is the worst critic we have for disliking our choices! She isn't keen on my dress, she thinks we should do this and do that and so on and so forth, I think as long as you put your foot down and stick to your guns it'll work out (here's hoping)!

Well it turns out its not possible to try on the sample sale dress, it has left the shop (something they do when they put it on there sister sample sale website apparently), they will be emailing me soon with more specific details on the dress regarding what conditon I can expect, any damage, etc.
If I do decide to buy it & dont like it they have a 7 days return policy but they don't refund any postage costs, they charge £30 postage, not sure why its so dear as I have sent big, heavy, expensive packages before for under £10. So worst case scenario I would be out of pocket £40 but if it pays off I have got a bargain!!
I have emailed another local shop to see if they stock that dress, so I can at least try it on.

    Hope Catherine is okay :-(

Well tomorrow I am off to another bridal shop where I am going to see what they've got. I'm definitely leaning towards a dropped waist with a layered skirt. Something along the likes of either Mori Lee 1910 or Maggie Sottero Dynasty. I really like the Dynasty dress but would need to see it on so may have to ask one of the shops I've been to that carry that designer about getting it in to try on and that will be £50 down. Then Wednesday evening going to see about organising chair covers and table linen for the venue. Need to dye my hair as blonde has leaked through again :-S

Went and saw my dress again today with my mum and the 5lbs I've lost since last time has made a big difference, my dress now fits, before there was a half inch gap around where the corcetry was, which is now fine, still want to lose another 3/4 pounds to get my stone award, and also give me a bit of breathing space for Christmas. I'm so happy.
Also think I have decided on a veil, and am sat wearing in my shoes.

Hi ladies, thanks for all your concern, I've been touched to see so many of you ask after me and worried - It's been a rough few days as unfortunately I completely unintentionally upset a member of my family. She took offence to something I wrote on here that she came across; it could have been worded differently but at the same time, it was not a dig at her/a personal attack on her wedding, far from it. I was merely saying how I preferred a different thing to her wedding. I have privatized my profile but going to go on now sort it out so people can add me/write on my wall but not have names etc up. I have barely slept in 2 days stressing/worrying while I've been trying to sort this out even though she is still refusing to talk to me but we met up with my cousin for lunch today and after speaking to her today, I feel able to come back on the forum. I'm feeling pretty vulnerable about posting things now as it's proven how easily things can be found accidentally and the last thing I wanted to do was to upset her more or any of the family. I'm not like that at all which I hope she will see. I've been going through all my posts to check that nothing else will cause offence. I'm a little upset that she would think of me like this and that I would deliberately set out to complain about her wedding as it was a lovely day. Either way, I'm back and hopefully things will settle down as I have messaged her with an apology and also sent her an apology in the post too. My cousin says to not worry or get overly stressed about it so that's what I'm trying to do so, what's been happening while I've been away?! :) x

Everyone is always precious about their weddings whether they get married next year like us or 50 years ago, it's a special day that a lot of planning goes into and I guess if you see something that you think is a jibe at your wedding even if not intentionally, it happens x

Yeah I can understand both sides really, like you say we are all a bit sensitive about our weddings, but at the same time you were just making a comment about how you prefer something else, it would be boring if we all liked the same things.

Speaking of the same though, the wedding we went to a few weeks ago they were telling us that she had used the pin site to put all her wedding ideas and then had gone to a wedding a month before theirs and they had taken all their idea's :O could you imagine that

Yeah, we went to see them in Feb (which was after we'd booked them so we were a little nervous as we'd only heard what they had online, but they had great reviews and we didn't want to hold off on booking them in case someone else booked our date) but because we were so nervous I think it ruined the atmosphere a little lol, plus I was on half term but my fiancé wasn't so we had to get back early. As we go away on Monday going to see them on Sunday will be brill as we'll be in holiday mode too.

I put this in May 2015 as well, so sorry for the repeat!

I had my first bridezilla moment today...complete wobble about the bridesmaid dresses.
I told my girls they could choose the dress as long as I approved it, they can have slightly different dresses if they like as long as they are the same colour/material and not short.

All 3 liked different dresses but decided on the one above as the good all rounder that would suit them all.

I've not slept for 2 nights worried about 2 things.

My younger sister has contacted me and said she's worried with it being so backless and strappy that she'll struggle to find underwear and was hoping to wear a control suit.

I've reassured her that I'll have a jacket/bolero made so her back will stay covered and we can get control undies for her if she wants, but I feel like me and the other girls have bulldozed her into a dress that she isn't really sure about.

The other thing is the cost, I don't think I'm happy enough to pay that much for a dress that 2 think is ok as an all rounder and 1 has voiced concerns over.

Oh thinks I'm over complicating it by asking them to get together again and keep searching. But I'm not really happy on settling for a dress just because of the convenience of "yeah that'll do" another thing ticked off the list.

    Breathe Leasa!!!! Rant over x

To be honest I think you'd be doing the right thing by continuing the search, if it wasn't for the fact that it was backless I'd say she was okay, but backless can be very scary for people who aren't very confident. If it's hot she may not want to keep a jacket or bolero on and it might not look right with the dress.

I don't think I'd call it a bridezilla moment though, it sounds like none of you love the dress, you still have plenty of time to keep looking hun.

With you having 3 bridesmaids could you have them in slightly different dresses. As long as they're all long, the same colour and material could they all wear different neck lines and straps to suit their bodies and what they feel comfortable in?

Oh dear, sounds like the bridesmaids are going well Leasa - maybe sit down with them all to discuss? x

Glad to see you back hun :)
Don't worry I had something similar but happened on the book. Basically I asked when we started looking for venues was there any unique wedding venues in the area which are not hotels after having loads of venue ideas from friends one recommended a venue which is a hotel so I pointed out we didn't want a hotel and even though it is a beautiful place and that we have been there for many a celebrations from birthdays to Christmas parties to beautiful weddings it just wasn't the place for us.
Another friend who married there went mental and said I called the place a dump which of course I didn't and then refused to speak to me and as far as I was concerned she had read something that wasn't there, since then she has calmed down and said sorry as she admitted she was stressed out about other stuff but took it out on me.

Defo let the dust settle as once the situation calms down I'm sure you will sort it out x

Thanks sweetie :) you know what I mean then - it was a completely innocent comment but one that could easily be taken the wrong way.. I'm the last person to want to upset people, especially family! I know what it's like to have a rift in a family and it's not pretty so I'm eager to avoid one particularly when it's something easily sortable. As it stands, she still won't talk to me but I've sent her a letter which will arrive in the post tomorrow so hopefully she will come round. I'll message her tomorrow evening if I haven't heard anything but if she doesn't reply, I will just leave it for a while as there's nothing more I can do. I've explained it was a mistake and something that was not insulting her wedding whatsoever so not a great deal else I can do right now! xx

That's my sisters fear, obviously she's seen our older sister (a size 6) in it, she sort of tried it on, mostly by holding it against her, loves the dress and said yes on the day, but has since told me she's worried she's too big for those straps.

I think she's gorgeous and told her I chose her as my bridesmaid because if how important she is to me, but I want her to be happy. I don't want to single her out and have two in this and her in another dress, I'd rather all 3 had different.

My MOH is quite tall and slim and one thing she pointed out with dresses like that is the bust area as she did find it hard getting a decent bra with it which tbh I didn't even think of!

I've messages my girls voicing the concerns, this is my older sisters response

I thought we all liked the dress, but if there are second opinions then fine. I've loads going on at work so if we need another get together it won't be until November, otherwise go ahead without me.

It's ok for her, she's a size 6, and looks good in anything...bit harsh I thought.

I get what you mean by a bit harsh but if she has issue with how she views her body size she is most prob just hitting out I'm sure once dresses are picked with all sizes she will see how pretty she actually looks in the dress :)

Ouch, a bit harsh if she's a size 6.. Tbh, whatever fits the other two will be fine on her as long as it's measured for her!

    I think I've confused it.

My older sister is the size 6 and gave that comment.

My younger sister is a size 30 and is the one who is worried about the dress.
