Hi Lana2BMrsHands, yeah it sure is...we had to pick August as my OH dad works as a teacher, and my little bridesmaids and pageboys are off school too..so it's works in favour for that too. I've been engaged 2 years but didn't think about wedding then but as its getting closer to the year we've been together 10years we thought why not plan ahead now..if that makes any sense?! I've found bridesmaids dresses and suits but not mine yet lol...but I already know the type of dress I would like..wedding cake and invites and possibly bouquets will be made by hand..x

yeah me and my o/h have been together 4 years so will be 6 years when we get married and have a little girl together. I found my venue last year and love it, but are officialy booking it next month and putting down the deposit, £4,460 for 74 adults 10 kids (5-12) and 10 young kids (under 5) which includes - exclusive hire, honeymoon suite,welcome drinks,civil ceremony, chair covers, 3 course set meal, glass of wine with meal,glass of toasting wine, inclusive dj will 1/2am, all linen and standard table decorations(to fit with your theme), fresh flowers of your choice at cost) exclusive use of all other bedrooms. There is also a nice big kids play area and lots of areas for nice pics.

hi, I think i have posted here before but we have started serious planning now. we are getting married 26th and 27th of august 2015. the 26th is the registry office for just immediate family then we are having a big ceremony on the 27th. We have 2 girls so wanted to really involve them and join together as a family not just a couple so we have choosen to have a rose unity ceremony which we can then write and fully plan ourselves. we have choosen the theme of mint and peach with pearl detail. we have picked our venue and will be paying the deposit in a few weeks. I have the dress for the 26th and my main dress for the 27th is on order :) looking forward to sharing the planning process with you all.
I am getting married on 23 May 2015 and can't wait - have already booked venue, church, car n photographer. Colour scheme is grey n purple n soooo excited. Hope the time speeds on by x

Hello Official 2015 thread, my wedding is in May 2015 (hopefully, not booked anything yet still looking around). We don't really have a theme but i'm aiming for most of it to be very DIY! I'm making my own Wish Tree & Topiary Trees, and Sweetie Jar Favours. Also aiming for own Boquet ect Our Bridesmaids are in like a majenta like colour, and our flowers are White Roses and Gerberas. We're from Somerset :D

All of ours have quoted at this years prices n will honour it. Just realised how many versions of purple there are - does it matter if invitation ribbon n bridesmaid dresses don't match exactly? Bth are dark purple but not quite the same shade x

finally picked the dress and things to go with just need to slim down to get in it now :) .......and buy it of course ;)
we are going skulls, anchors and roses with guitars in for good measure :) ive planned so much already cant wait to get it into reality
was looking at suits for the men but we have decided that that just isnt us so are having personalised bowling shirts instead

I have gone for a mint green coloured dress but now think i might struggle to exactly match the colour too. thats why I have now gone for min green and peach as the colour theme, hopefully any shade varyance won't be as obvious.
Mundith love the bowling shirt idea. myh2b hates suits too and so do both dads. not got a clue what else to go for though. maybe just shirt and tie as our wedding is in the summer?!

Matt Smith owned the bow tie and made it sexy! However as my bloke points out, i'm marrying him not Matt Smith & not David Tennant. He's wearing the full top hat and tails, i think he's going for grey with the waistcoat being silver and pinky purple, as close as to majenta as we can get. I believe we're hiring out Ushers/Groomsmen, but my bloke wants to buy and keep his suit. Still unsure on Bridesmaids. We've managed to get numbers down from 80 odd to 65 and that's the lowest we can possible go without cutting out immediate family. We're both from large families and numbers are proving to be a hassle! As well as seating plans. I think i have my dress sorted tho. But bloke won't let me buy it yet. He said there's 2 more years to go, i'll probably change my mind several times. And he's probably right!

Lol when ever i hear magenta the geek in me thinks of sky high! (Love that film) I don't know if i would say matt smith made it sexy? My preference is doctors 4,9 & 10 <3 Matt smith is weird looking but he is a good actor and love the whole relationships with his companions and river!

I think he has his own cheeky little charm, and i agree his relationship with other cast members are amazing. I love River Song! David Tennant is still tops for me. But he has ALWAYS been yummy! I'm not to happy Matt's leaving so soon. I'm worried about the next Doctor, apparently the guy who played Merlin is in the runnings :/ Hmm it will be interesting none the less xx

We're getting married 4th September 2015. My parents and grandparents got married a week and two weeks after this so its a date that means a lot to me! We've sorted our church and have started to look at reception venues now. It is so exciting!

I like lace detail too, and am incorporating it into my decor. Still not sure whether i prefer A-Line to Mermaid, as both are beautiful, but need to try on, i've seen 1 design in each that i have my heart set on.

i loved the idea of aline but i tried on a veroma satin fishtail one and it looked really good on me, need to go looking with my mum tho as she has honest opinions and tells me what looks good. i always thought of it being fitted down to the knees but generally it goes over your hips then out from there

Bear-lou - fab (have sent you a friend request!) we originally wanted the Sunday but managed to get the venue to do the Saturday but at the cheaper rate. I am definitely learning to haggle!! We got engaged in May after a very traumatic start to the year - my dad passed away in February. I am engrossing myself in wedding preparations as I know he would want us to be happy. I have started looking at dresses online to get an idea but everyone keeps telling me that once you try dresses on you get a completely different viewpoint. I have just made my first appointment to look at some in August!!!! Good luck with all the prep.

Mundith - I may have plumped lucky, the day we wanted was already taken so obviously the venue suggested Saturday. I explained that the budget was tight but I really wanted to be have the reception there. Explained how much it meant and hey presto they said yes. I also managed to get a few extras added into the deal. Also by booking now you get it at this years prices if you mention it at the time. a friend of mine didn't and now she has had a price increase!! Good luck x

Hey paulae95, so sorry to hear about you father. I do know what you mean though i had a work accident almost 2yrs ago and now it has left me disabled with nerve damage. Not how i pictured my day being but im happy to have some1 who wants to marry me! We said 2015 in the hope i will be able to walk down the aisle without crutches! Thats my aim :)
I think i will start looking at dresses next year! I hope yours goes well!!! It will be a fun experience im sure. The haggling is so good!! Who would have thought you could do this! I am going to try that with a videographer! ;) x
