Wedding Forum - 2015 BRIDES share ideas, plans etc here!...

I was extra impatient & emailed the venue already!! They don't have their 2015 prices done yet but the 2014 prices are for a typical menu about £33.30 ahead for dinner & about £7.20 for buffet. There wedding fare is in jan so going to go and see them. If altering my date to an off peak time means its cheaper I may consider that. Just have to wait & see :) so excited!!

The venue im currently obsessed with has an open evening in January.. not mentioned it to h2b yet as I think he had enough of the wedding talk the last time I planned it... But its lush and I want it baaaaad hehe..

Has anyone getting married in 2015 booked anything yet? I've been emailing & getting quotes for venues & cars but haven't booked anything yet. The venue I really want is having their wedding fair on the 20th Jan & I can't wait to go to it!! Really hope its not too dear as I pretty much have my heart set on it :)

Well hoping on a chapel wedding & then a hotel reception. I really want may but thinking realistically I'm thinking maybe an off peak wedding would be cheaper. Was thinking maybe dec cause then hotel& chapel would be decorated already. Have to discuss this with h2b. Maybe price venue with 2/5/15 & 5/12/15 just to see the different prices.

I am having a major dilemma lol I originally got a quote from my dream venue for a wedding on the 2nd of may 2015, the food was working out at £34ish a head then the buffet £7ish ahead, this was a bit dearer than I wanted, so I asked for a quote for a Dec/Jan/Feb wedding & they have came back with a fantastic quote of between £25-28 a head for a Jan/Feb wedding & this includes weekends!!! Do you think a Jan wedding would be 'nice'?? I'm a bit scared the weather will be crap, people wont come cause they've no money etc etc Please help :)

Would Valentines day not be really expensive day to get married?? I woulda thought the prices would get hiked up for that but suppose its still February! :)

Hi everyone! We got engaged 1.1.11 in London after almost 5 years together! We've been together 7 years in April and had originally said summer 2014 would be the wedding. However after pricing the venue we have both fallen in love with and through going to a few fayres we set the date last month for Saturday 1st August 2015. I'm a teacher so has to be Easter or summer really! As the 1st was a Saturday and we got engaged the 1st seemed the perfect date! We have a home visit booked with our very likely photographers and am hoping to book videographers and cars soon too! Thinking everything else can wait until I'm off this summer and that will give us a nice 2 year countdown! Feels like forever but be worth not having so much pressure to save and having extra little things we'd like! Happy planning everyone! X

Aw we bought a house last year which took all of our savings but felt we needed to put that deposit down to have a date to aim for! Saving like mad now and shall be paying deposit for photographer soon :)! When would you like to get married? X

Hi all, we got engaged 23/6/11 after just over 4 1/2 years together, looking at 23/5/15 but considering we only just finished uni we're a bit torn what with wanting to save a house deposit and get on the property ladder!
We'll most likely go for a destination wedding to a)save costs, b)avoid some of our annoying relatives we never see and c)increase the odds of some good weather lol!
I'm so wary of buying little bits & bobs for the wedding incase it doesn't fit in with our eventual plan/tastes... But it's soooo tempting! Xx

My fiancé and I had planned for 2014, however we postponed a year to make sure we would have enough funds , were now June 2015 and it feels like a lifetime away!! And we've basically planned everything already! Xo

Hey girlies! Im getting married midweek july 2015 due to cost but also i want my daughter who currently 18 months to be a but older to enjoy it to an be part of it! Im going to my chosen venue (lavender house hotel) that me and my partner both like thus summer with my mum, MIL2B , SIL2B and my MOH to show them the venue and get the prices locked down, hopeing my MIL2B will barter them down a bit as shes good at it! Don't forget to barter! Always as if there is a better price or if they can chuck in somethin extra! Im in devon!

I signed up december 2011 when u got engaged but have not really been on very much as daye was so far down the line! But its only just over 2 years now an looking to book my venue this summer! So getting mega excited again!

oh my, I've just done a total 180 on my theme, i suggested it to my H2B about a month ago but he did not seem keen and i dismissed it as maybe to quirky/geeky! but after looking up aload of things for my theme have fallen in love! and my H2B now i've shown him some of the ideas has totaly got into it aswel! Ekkkkkkk

I decided we wouldn't have a weekend ŵedding, t this was too good a deal to pass on so booked... We saved £3000al ost on the venue for a Saturday xxx

Hi everyone. I am getting married in 2015. We weren't sure when we wanted as we also want to buy a house and need to save for a deposit, but the venue we wanted wasn't available during any school holidays until 2015 so we decided to go for the house first and the wedding after. Let's just say we will be saving hard for the next 2 years. I haven't planned very much yet, although I have booked the venue and the cake, DJ, master of ceremonies and table centrepieces are also booked as part of the package. Also, my mum is getting married in June this year, so I am helping her with the preparations and getting lots of good ideas :) My date is 13.8.15. Hopefully the sun will be out in August too :) xx

I have provisionally booked my venue now, will be confirming the booking and the cost at the end of june as long as i have the deposit together :)

The wedding planner is really great and keeps in contact lots so im more than happy to give her my money to sort my day.....just hope i can get a good deal ;)

hi all i'm getting married 20/06/2015 :-) our deposit is being paid next month, they won't accept payment beyond 2 years at our venue, as for the planning i have bought a wedding planner book and it's my bible already. its fantastic all my colour scheme and theme ideas are jotted down samples of wedding poems and invitations. everything a bride needs and most importantly a budget planner good luck all with your planning and most of all enjoy :-) xxx
