but the venue, how disappointing for you :( i really hope you find somewhere just as nice, have you looked at the exeter court hotel, (i think its called that) my friend got married there and its actually beautiful and tell them your plight they may help out xx

we are having to re do all our table plan and place names etc due to my "friend" not coming and we have had to put others in there place and change everything, its one big headache!

My In laws are driving me insane turns out my sil has gave me the wrong addresses for some of the family and OH just says oh well we sent the invites its not our fault they didnt get them so if we dont hear from them then it saves us money he is the most laid back guy on the planet, but im a bit annoyed as i think she gave me the wrong address on purpose.

we were out with other family at the weekend and we found out that oh uncle has a girlfriend which is fine but how embarrassing is it that ohs mum never told us they have been going out for awhile now and she would have been invited to the wedding if we had known (they are both going to the wedding and booked into the hotel)

No we have no contact with them at all its alans grans brother and his family, it was completely the wrong addresses.

on to better news I received this email today. I actually forgot I contacted them (F1 team currently top of the leaderboard)

We have had loads go missing, is really annoying, but I messaged all thoughts I had not heard from asking if they had Recieved them so they know they are invited, and ended up having to give them the wedsite details, as I can't afford to have more made and sent out.

Come away feeling a bit dejected from the venue we liked so trying one of the others (only 3 with availability) so just hope there's something. Hopes are pretty low at the moment and everything is feeling pretty pointless :(

Hen night sorted!
23rd May starting with afternoon tea (with unlimited prosecco) at the millennium in Mayfair!

Paid off flowers, cars and wine.... argggh my 1 month countdown begins today.

Bitter sweet day, I'm excited that it's exactly 1 Month until the wedding, but today is the 8 year anniversary of loosing mum, so I'm also quite emotional.

ive just re done my menu with the new guests on it, sent it to the venue :)

ive also re made the kids activity bags as it was 2 boys now its 2 girls :)

Lord Haldon is too expensive :( thanks though. Saw the hotel today and they brought the big guns out in form of all the managers basically trying to persuade us to stay but didn't work particularly as they started slating our potential new venue which is run by someone we've known for years. Thought that was disgraceful! We do think we've got a good thing going with our friend though and he's pulling out all the stops for us even including stuff we wouldn't have been able to afford if we were elsewhere so we are going over in about an hour to book and pay the deposit. Almost like a blessing in disguise really!

Thanks :) Yes it is, they are from church and we have their invitation here but we weren't planning on going to church so didn't have it to hand but they've said verbally that they will be there which is lovely!

What a good idea Teresa - my sil is gluten, wheat, dairy and meat free (I joke with her that she is food free lol) and we were going to ask our cake baker if she can do a little something for her and the few others with allergies so they are included :) x

Oh I know, I struggle sometimes with what I can eat as I have IBS and some things affect me too but I feel for them as it must be awful as you say! I think Emma is going down the route of 'I have my pills and I will take them so hopefully it should be ok so sod it, it's my sisters wedding and I'm going to blooming well enjoy myself even if I feel the effects the next day' attitude lol.

Well finally got oh's ring as he mashed his finger at work at the beginning of April and it had to be his ring finger didn't it! We had to wait on the swelling going down and the stitches coming out. Then last week his best man let us know he couldn't be best man any more. Unfortunately him and his wife have just split not even 2 years after their wedding and their anniversary is just 8 days after we get married, plus we're getting married at the same venue they did so he feels it is just too much. OH asked his step brother in law and he's over the moon to step into the breach so another problem solved. So hopefully that's all our problems over now and things will run smoothly now x

It's taken long enough but all of the girls have finally agreed on a dress :)

I got some nightshirts for myself & the adult bridesmaids today which I'm going to personalize, for us to wear on the wedding eve, just need to find something for the younger bridesmaids!!

Only 5 more days until my 1st hen do & to celebrate my 30th, were off to a lodge with a hot tub, they have activities planned but I'm not sure what they are??

Slight dilemma on our side, best man informed us today he can't come!!!

Of all people! He's a freelance actor and offered 3 weeks work in s.africa ending on our wedding day, he won't make it in time...

P***ed off is an understatement. H2B is asking his cousin to be his best person instead, she's like a big sister to him anyway. But having paid flights, suit, gifts, venue/meal (@£80pp) ect already I'm tempted to send the bill to ex-best man and ask if the pay he gets for his last minute contract covers this, and was it worth it.

On the plus side, spent today with my sister/moh for her dress fitting (30 mins of pinning) followed by 8 hours of fun, threading, shopping, champagne and Michelin starred food in central london.

Small dilemma, we had arranged a meal at our local Chinese the evening after the wedding with our close friends and family, there will be 30 of us,
well the. Manager of the Chinese has just been convicted of paedofile offences and having images on his phone/ comp of children, it makes me feel sick and in no way do I condone this behaviour or want to profit the pockets of someone capable of this, so I'm gonna cancel, but I need to find somewhere else to go now with under 2 weeks to goit may be tricky eek!
