Kiera - do you want to come and decorate our lounge too? lol. We've been meaning to do it for ages but never get around to it. Its too dark, and been like it for 6 years, needs brightening up. Maybe I should be inspired by you and just do it this weekend!

Catherine - love your dress. And it actually looks great in burgandy too - and I'm not a fan of coloured dresses. Good choice.

MrsMalin2b - your dress is gorgeous, really suits you, and love the detailing.

Donna - Dress 1 is my favourite. Its looks lovely on you, fits really well, and the detailing and train are gorgeous. Ultimately, its how you feel in them. Try them on the same day and re-assess then lol!

Elizabeth - my mothers day was ok. Got some handmade gifts from the kids and OH got a small potted plant from them for me, but every year all I ask for is a lie in, and I was still up at 5am! I am up early all week working full time, then I'm up early every weekend dealing with the kids while he lies in, its not much to ask once a year! Last year he even said no when I specifically asked for one. Needless to say he got told this time lol. Just annoys me as I make such an effort for him on bdays/fathers day/xmas and I dont get so much as an extra hour in bed! Rant over lol.

Going to see florists this weekend for some quotes. Hoping its not going to be too much over £500 all in, but what I want is quite specific so we'll see.

Charlie the worst bit is going to be keeping it all looking nice & new, with 3 boys, a messy OH & a dog (that loves nothing better than getting mud everywhere) it is going to be very hard!! It will probably all need redoing by the time the wedding comes around lol.

You can definitely get vouchers from travel agents, this is probably what we will be asking for, or money £ or $. I really don't want to ask for anything in the invite, but loads of friends/family have said we have to ask for something, as they would rather get us what we want then guess. Our plans at the moment unless a major bargain appears, are to spend a long weekend in a remote cabin with a hot tub but close enough to local pubs, etc. Then in 2016 we are planning on going to Florida for 3 weeks with the boys & about 20 members of OH's family :)

We are doing similar for honeymoon; a couple of nights either in Lake District or Dartmoor in 5* accomodation followed by a week in a cabin with the boys OR a couple of nights in a luxury cabin followed by Disneyland Paris with the kids. Undecided as yet. But, as OH hates flying, I suspect we'll end up staying firmly in the UK. I tried to convince him Vienna or Monte Carlo for a few nights would be amazing, but he came back with "we're not famous" lol. Was worth a try.

Loving the sound of travel agent vouchers, I keep having a look online at holidays for September 2015. But they are not released as of yet

Yeah we keep looking for honeymoon destinations but can't book anything until 24th April like you say Kerrie. Urrrgh

We will be paying for OH's, best man, ushers, pageboys, my dad & OH's dad's suit hire. I don't think you would traditionally get the grooms dad a matching suit, but I want him to match the rest of the wedding party.

All our our guys came to us and said they would pay for theres, i was like are you sure its like £100 each, and there were like no well pay you have enough to fork out for .

Were paying for groom, best man and both fathers. We would be paying for my brothers too but as he's in the army he has said he will just wear his dress uniform instead :-)

My new bow arrived for the back my dress today and my bridesmaid hair grips have arrived going to pick them up later! Exciting to see how the bow makes the back of my dress look now !

Happy today as I found a lovely veil for my OH that she loves but best of all, it was £10 inc. postage! Annoyed as well though as I found another one that I would actually wear but another bride pipped me to the post sadly :(

Met up with the vicar last night and he is happy with the order of service so far (incl all song choices) - we just need 1 more reading and 1 more hymn then we wait for the new vicar in post to give notice and hope he agrees with the current vicar!! Felt really real last night and still got over a year to go - hoping it flies by x

I can't help with the photographer as my sister FFIL is doing ours for £150. He's only done family weddings but his pictures are amazing. If he wasn't doing our wedding yes it was important to is that the photographer had photographed the venue before as they would know where's best. It was one of the questions I asked when looking for a band for the venue.

I think the price you've been quoted for flowers is very reasonable I've been quoted £150 for mine 1 BM bouquet 6 bottonholes and a corsage for my mum.

I agree - we went with the photographer that we felt really comfortable with as we both hate our photo being taken anyway. I think it is really important to have that connection.

Ditto, we thought we'd found the perfect tog last week. Pics are amazing but when we met her she was just plain weird and didn't like her at all. We didn't feel comfortable around and knew on the day that that would impact on our photo's and how we'd feel so it's back to the drawing board and we've found some others! xx

We're quite lucky that a lot of matt's family and friends are photographers for some reason..
So we picked the one with the best feedback and the friendliest attitude and he gave us a great price too, it just takes a little digging!

Annoying thing is that my Dad was a photographer and used to do a lot of weddings but he'll be too important to use on the day which is a shame as he does lovely stuff!
