The day I got my dress I was randomly saying to Adam 'guess what? I own a wedding dress!' haha. I had the biggest smile on my face all day. That was a spur of the moment thing too xx

I can understand that Donna - We brought our wedding up to next year and suddenly realized 'omg, it's next year' so we started panicking a bit. The sudden realization can make you panic and seem very scary especially as with you when you've had a big build up to it. Just try and relax with it. I would recommend just not thinking about it for a week or two re dresses as that's what I've done and I've gone in with a fresh mind and outset and actually I've found mine :) I know I went last weekend but I wasn't seriously looking, just went in for a mooch! xx

Thanks :D I'm dancing about the house grinning like a cheshire cat! I think it's just the shock of finalizing it after so long of not as it were. We've realized that in this week alone we have confirmed our reception venue, got my wedding dress, booked our ceilidh band and shortlisted our photographer.... Now that's scary! Just go with it ladies and enjoy the journey, it only happens once! (hopefully!) xx

Yeah, I think what's even weirder for me is he was dragging his feet for ages and I felt like he didn't want to and yet now it's happening he doesn't seem phased at all.

Ahh thank you ladies :) I'm a bit of a tom boy and happiest in my jeans and hoodie so I thought finding the dress would be hard but as soon as I tried this one on; I knew it was the one :D

Donna bith dresses are lovely and quite different but if I had to choose it would be number 1 I love the detailing and the train is gorgeous. Maybe give it a few weeks then go and try them both on again and see how you feel then.

Im having a major downer day my H2b is just so thoughtless today being mothers day he normally goes out with gifts but this year he got me from Connor a fake flower that cost 99p. Its lovely but I feel so unappreciated and he just doesn't get why. I don't expect him to spend a fortune on me but a bit of thought wouldn't go a miss.

Thanks Elizabeth and yeah a single cheap flower would be kinda rubbish. At least go to the effort of buying you a nice bouquet; heck you can get really nice ones from certain supermarkets for a tenner...

Not done anything nice, I took Connor up to my patent so he could give his gran flowers and we also gave her cash to but herself a dress she wanted. I sobbed my heart put to them. He knows he's pd me off as before I went to my mums he asked if I was ok to which I said no I'm not I feel like you don't appreciate me I fact I know you don't and I was crying. I went to my patents but I txt him and said, Mother's Day is showing your appreciation for the mother and I spent more on my mums cards than what you did on my 'gift' I know this is really selfish but that's the worst present you've ever bought me. He didn't reply

I know we are saving for the wedding but ffs, even a small. Of of chocs would have be better even though I'm on a diet last year he got me charms for my 'mum' bracelet and the year before he got my white gold earrings. His mother doesn't do cards and never has done he was always overlooked as a child for his two younger sisters so it's hardly surprising he is so miserable but it just hurt me so much. I do everything for him and Connor and I get no thanks in return. He even got the long lie today

Sorry for going on a bit, since I've come home from my parents I've made dinner but he was either pd off with me or had a guilty conscience as he has washed all the dishes and gutted the living room which he never does.

Don't apologise for going on, we all need to let things out every so often. I don't really know what to say though :( sorry, I hope your feeling better soon and he makes it up to you

It's rubbish being the one with the high drive isn't it, sometimes I think well I'll hold out and next time he wants it I'll say no.... but I know that won't happen as I'll be the one suffering for it lol. I did threaten to go back on the pill the other day (that completely killed my drive amongst other things) and he said he didn't want me to do that and has said he likes when I have a high drive.... shame we can't just meet in the middle :/

Elizabeth I truly know how you feel because my OH didn't take our kids to get me anything, not even a card.
My 10 year old daughter actually made me one when she realised that I was upset, apparently he has been too busy, so as you can image I reminded him how busy I am... being a student nurse, a mother a house maid and I work the list goes on, but some how I managed to go out and get gifts for his mother. Which he wouldn't have done, so I haven't bern the happiest of ladies today
I also put my spare time if any into our wedding plans. Rant over and happy mothers day to all the mum on here x

Donna I prefer dress 1, it really is a beautiful dress, I especially like how the train sits but at the end of the day its your choice.

We've not done anything wedding wise for awhile now, other than pay off our reception venue so that's one less thing to save for, instead we have been decorating. I'm planning on getting ready at home & after searching for a wedding photographer & looking through their albums, I realized how much a nice background enhances the pictures. Our living room & hallway were only recently decorated, so there fine, we're currently decorating the kitchen, we will need to do our bedroom as that hasn't been decorated in 5 years although the furniture is fine. Our major job though is our garden, which we have been doing for the past 2 years lol. It was basically an unusable hill, which we have made into a split level garden, this took so much digging & digging, there's still so much to do but we must finish it this year!! We need to take down our old conservatory, erect the new one (OH will be doing this), decking, paving, build raised beds, the list goes on & we regret ever starting it!!
