That's a good idea actually, I will tomorrow when I have a bit of time.

We could get little folded invites from b0¥es for a few pound per pack then just decorate and printing, but we had our mind set on pocketfolds so had to pay more. We found a pack of 80 blank invites for £60 on the bay. I've nearly put them all together so have plenty of time for DIYing them! :D I've done the same with my STDs, gave them to who we've seen recently, that's next on our list lol

Been feeling a bit disheartened Elizabeth but trying not to let it get me down. Been looking at a few different dresses online to get back in the mood but nothing really grabbing me and tbh, I wouldn't have the guts to get anything online so I spoke to the shop about it and they said it's no problem and would I like to go in on Saturday and have a full appointment to see if I could find something else? I said yes so I'll be trying lots of different styles but predominantly satin as I think that's the problem - Can't see myself getting married in anything else despite my best efforts! I'm looking forward to it but keeping an open mind as I don't want to get my hopes up. x

Aww Catherine I hope you manage to get something you truly love but try not to be disheartened if you don't find it on Saturday you still have loads of time to find something.

Amanda can I ask how much you paid for the buttonholes? in trying to find decent ones that don't cost a fortune.

Ive asked SIL to put a list together of who she thinks we should invite to the wedding I know she will put everyone on the list then we can decide who gets what sort of invite :) she's happy to help.

Once we have the list and know who we think needs transport we will book the coaches as the company that are best priced book up very fast x

Well not been on here for a few days but its all been happening - firstly heard that my wedding dress has arrived but the shop owner is retiring next year. Went into massive panic but thankfully it will be after my wedding and she will still be sprting all the fittings and alterations Phew!

Then heard that the vicar who was to marry us is leaving the parish and moving to York! Again thankfully I have now heard from him with the details of the new vicar. These are the bits that stress me out!!!

That was one of my worries Lana, the new vicar doesn't start until September but at least we will have his name and contact details. The current vicar has advised us not to give notice until September when the new vicar has been registered etc to make sure it goes smoothly. We are going to see the current vicar to start going through things before he leaves. its a shame because we got on really well with him but he has assured us that the new one is just as nice.

    My veil came today :)

I ordered it less then 2 weeks ago from China and it looks lovely, can't believe it's here in time for trying my dress on again on Saturday.

So I only spent £25 on my veil and my tiara... which has saved a couple of hundred pounds... making up for the extra I might spend on the dress

Hi girls, I'm getting married 1.5.2015 in Prague. It's a day of love over there (kind of like Valentine's day here). I'm getting excited :) Got a dress, veil, booked a venue and photographer. Still looking for reception place. To be honest it's quite stressing to plan our wedding from UK, cos I can't really just walk around places, meet people and make the desicion what/who suits me. But as my dad says "these are the happiest worries in your life" :) and my parents really try to help. Hope all the planning goes fine for you, brides here, and we can get everything what we wish to have on our big day :) xx (my pics are on profile in case you are interested, can't put it here)

Im picking bits up as I go, Ive just bought a bridesmaid makeup/travel bag and going to fill it with little bits as we go along. Favours I will but all the ladies at one time to reduce the risk of them going out of stock, The guys are getting whiskey so I know someone that works in the brewery he is going to pick it up when its on offer and I will just give him the cash.

Accessories if I see something I really want I will simply buy it at the time if its a good enough price or watch for it to come down in price. The thought of spending thousands at one time scares me more than buying as we go along.

I posted the link for the veil on your wall Elizabeth :)

Sounds lovely Catherine, do you think it's the one?

Well.... I went to the first shop on Saturday and didn't really see anything, they had some lovely dresses but nothing with the wow factor that the other one had, so we went off to that appointment and the shop was closed up, I gave her a call and she was really apologetic and sounded very upset, she had a family emergency and was at the hospital, she said she'd tried to get hold of someone who could get her diary to get my number to let me know but hadn't managed to. So I was very disappointed but we decided to head off home, on the way we saw another bridal shop with yellow dresses in the window, so we popped in to see if they were free, they were and I ended up trying more dresses on, I picked some in the style I have decided suited me and some which I thought were lovely but didn't expect to suit me. As they were putting one of those one's on me, I was amazed and thought it looked amazing. When I came out one of my bridesmaids started to cry and the both said it made me look like a princess and that it lit up my face.

I tried some others on but ended up going back to that one.

So, now I'm torn between two dresses, that one and the first one. Both completely different. I think I prefer the second but I need to try them both on again close together and see how I feel. The second one will also work out £500 cheaper with alterations then the first.... making it in my original budget

    Mrs B you're doing well!

Donna and Catherine I think you both need to try them both on in the same day. Although Donna, I think from the sound of it it may be the second if they cried, that's how i decided mine was the one, but we're all different! And atherid, isn't it strange how we change four opinions on what we like and don't like! Congratulations on booking xx

My OH says just choose one because I clearly like it but im so indecisive about which one. Do you think I should just get both, they are not unreasonably priced, but like my OH says I can only wear one..........grrr just dont know what to do, can't believe it's so hard to choose a tiara, child in sweet shop comes to mind haha

amandaK can you get them both? I ordered one which I loved and let another one go, turns out as lovely as mine is it doesn't 'sit' right with my veil even with a hairdresser playing around to get the sort of style I want on the day. You can always post the reject back up for sale on a free weekend or something to recoup the cost x

Hi all, sounds like you are all doing really well with your arranging, most of you are miles more organised than me! I haven't done anything wedding related for a while, am just coming to the end of a 6 month course, whilst working full time whilst having my little 19 month running around, so wedding planning has halted for now until after my exams.

I seem to have lost my wedding mojo at the moment, i don't know if it is due to it being so far away (13 months i think) or whether i'm just a bit overwhelmed by the course etc. Hopefully it will return soon!

What are you all doing for hen nights? and how long before the wedding are you having it? I'm thinking end of march/early April for 23rd May wedding?

I have had some real wedding bargains this week

Bought my designer wedding dress from the bay at the weekend and its only cost me £160, brand new! Cant wait to get it, it looks beautiful and although I havent tried it on yet,it is the sort of style that suited me the best when I went dress shopping so Im feeling really excited. Its an Enzoani dress and should retail for well over £1000.

Then yesterday I managed to get all my centrepieces, £2.50 each from a discount store. They are cream vintage style birdcage tealight holders with a faux glass bird on top, so I am really chuffed as been looking everywhere for them at a reasonable price, but all the other ones I found were around £10 each. They had two sizes (small and large) so I am going back tomorrow to get two large ones for the top table as I completely forgot about that table.

Im having wedding related dreams the past week or so.

The first one is the wrong dress was delivered but my dress went to another bride and she loved MY dress and refused to give it back so I had to wear this horrible dress as it was only a week until the wedding.

The last night I had the weirdest of dreams I made it to the church before H2b (WE aren't getting married in a church) But I was standing greeting my guests with a sheet over my dress so no one seen it.

Then my sister forgot her shoes and lost My flowers, we ended up arguing and the piper started piping before we were even ready and I had to squeeze past tables of what looked like a restaurant to walk down an aisle but it was more like a church hall.

Surely I shouldn't be having dreams this early its freaking me out a bit as I know im organised H2b things its funny.
