Aww, everything is so exciting for everyone! We are hopefully either getting married May 2015, or March 2015. It all depends on my qualification at work. If I can get it all finished and done by Christmas then it'll be March, but if its touch and go then it'll be May. x

We are May 2015 and really excited - can't wait. Am running out of things to organise at the minute. It will all get going again in May this year when we can see the registra to issue the notice of intention to marry, then we can finalise timings with the church, sort invitations etc. On to the weight loss at the minute - every little bit will help x

wow dress fitting already? I haven't got mine yet - there are two that i love, so going to arrange trying them on again (rather annoyingly they are in different shops!!!!).

We have booked the registrar as getting married in a country hotel - when do we have to give notice?

Everything is booked and almost all the deposits have been paid!
Found my perfect dress yesterday which has been secured for me as its amazingly off the rail!! I couldnt believe my luck! Its a beautiful Maggie Sterro princess style dress and fits me perfectly and its brand new as its only been in the shop for 2 weeks and noone else has tried it on yet lol! AND I still get a reduction in price as its off the rail lol!
Next on the to-do list is making my invitations! Trying to keep the costs down so we're making ours on the pc and then getting them printed on some nice wedding card for abut £20-25, have about 200-250 invites to send out! EEK!

Its all go with the dresses at the minute then. And looks like Maggie Sottero is where its at :)

I finally (after a lot of sweat and tears) found mine today. Its a Maggie 'Kailani'. I am over the moon!

Christina, we received a letter from the registrar today saying we can give notice from 1 year in advance of the date, so it depends what date in 2015 you are xxx

I had a meeting with my wedding planner today and ive chosen my centre pieces woohoo.

We sat down and went through the costings of the day and its came in cheaper than me and H2B had planned so its all good :)

I would check with the registry office as they all have their own rules Glasgow city council would book 2015 in 2013 nut the district where im getting married wouldn't book 2015 until 2014. If that makes sense.

Thanks guys; how do I find out which registrar we would need and how do I find out their policies; all the venues we have in mind are in Coventry at the moment.

Im not sure if England & Scotland are different but here you organise the registrar in the district you are getting married in NOT the local registry office. For example I live in Glasgow so the local council is Glasgow City Council but im getting married in Rhu so have registered with Argyll and Bute Council. We need to give notice 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Or that's what im lead to believe happens x

Ong my mil2b stresses me so much some times ( ok all the time) everytime we go to see them or they come see us when its over its like a massive weight tumbles off my sholders, an seems same with OH! Oh mentioned he had asked his guys to be ushers an she was like "oh we gona talk about the wedding are we? We will be there if were still around , its still far away" its bloody 18 months . If me an oh had only got engaged december just gone we would not be planning it for this july! So how is it far away! I have tryed not to mention much plans to them as they said it ages away! But I think now its not really far away now. Aswell as the fact she always says things like " if were still alive etc, last year weeks after my gran died an she was edging for us to bring it forward she said, "well i hope no one else dies before the wedding" & my uncle died unexpecticadly since .

She always offers us help and has to check our choices and or then takes back part of offer, for exaple when we first moved in to our first house, she offered to buy us a washing machine on the condition that it was tripleA rated. So we found one the cheapest tripleA+ with the capacity we needed and then she was like oh well I can't afford that ... Well give you £100 towards it. It being £170 so we magicaly have to pull £70 out out ass after moving into our first home an having to buy everything else, luckly my mum came to rescue, and the mil had cheek to say to my mun we've given them this what have you done? When my mum had paid for tv licence for year, given us a freezer, helped us move in over 2 days when they helped us for all of 2/3 hours ( lucky really tho as ele would of really wound me up.

Also my mum has been guarentor for us for our last 2 houses without questioning our desicions but for our current house they needed 2 guarantors and we asked oh das he was like oh well will have to come check out the house to see if they would . They don't have to live there , we very nearly lost it due to them. And its the bestmost happy house we've had with no intention of miving unless we can get our own house. Which they said they would help us do once oh has finished his apprentaship. But due to the fact they have just bought themselves a stupidly massive house for just the 2 of them , doubt that going to happen. Yet another broken promise

I bought it in August when it first came out so it was £1400 so you're getting a great price.. I won't tell my mum that lol xxx

I originally wanted a Ronald Joyce Paphos but its £1500 and as they didnt have any in store they'd have to order it in and I'd have to pay half upfront and I cant afford that right now :(

Good to see everyone's planning is going well. Will be sitting H2B down tonight to discuss what cake, centrepieces and decoration we want.
Has anyone else decided on theirs yet? Ideas would be great if you have as I like so much stuff that I just can't choose lol.

Also off to an open evening at venue next week with eldest DD as she hasn't seen it properly yet.

my cake quotes have started coming back, looks like its going to be over budget, i budgeted 250/300 and quotes are coming back 330/350 grrrrrrrr
