Just thought I'd say it makes me happy to see people who have weddings booked for 2015, I booked my wedding last year for 2014 (2 years in advance) and had people actually laughing at me and saying "thats abit early to have your wedding booked isnt it?" which really annoyed me...but all the prices for my venue have gone up since, but the price I'll pay is the price I was originally quoted so if anyone else has experienced ignorant people take no notice :) Also, we have booked our wedding for a MONDAY as it is half the price of a weekend wedding, people have got plenty of notice to book time off work if they cant be bothered then they arent worth inviting anyway :)

    Woohoo!

I'm an Oct 2014 bride and we booked our venue at the start of this year and I am really getting sick of being told I'm doing everything too early!!

I know each to their own and everything but I need the reassurance that everything is booked that I need and then I have all that time to pay it all off :) xxx

My wedding is booked for 20th September 2014 and we booked our wedding in January this year we've been told we will pay the price quoted so if it goes up next year then our price stays lowest ! I have also booked my hair and makeup artist already for next year at this years prices .. I think booking early is better as you get everything cheaper ! x

I keep getting the same comments!
We've booked the church, reception venue and transport - I didnt want to compromise on these things so I booked them! The rest will come later but at least I know what I'm doing!

I've just had a few, wow you're organised comments lol don't think anyone would dare be that rude to my face. I'd just tell them o mind their own business anyway. Takes a lot of the pressure off having everything booked already. Dress and shoes are even ought and paid for lol. Sod what people think. I CBA tearing my hair out last minute.

This has made me feel soooo much better! We got engaged a couple of months ago, and have set our date for September 2015. So excited already! We've been to the church and have started looking at venues.
When we told his parents, they were super freaked out, and were trying to tell us its too early!
We have started to make our invitations too, because I start something, get a bit bored and then leave it for aaages. So I'm giving myself a while to get them all done!

People keep telling me to not worry about things like whether I have round or long tables, mobile bar or provide alcohol ourselves etc until next year. It's infuriating as we're having a village hall wedding reception and I need to know these things now so that I know how many people we can fit in, and therefore who to invite and what deposits I need to put down on stuff! I feel like I'm planning the entire wedding on my own as no one else is interested thinking it's too soon! 14 months will go so fast, especially as we're on a budget and need to pay for things gradually! It's never too early to start sorting things for your wedding!

We are getting married June 2014. I booked my venue May 2012. By booking early ensured we got the date we wanted and venue too. I collected my dress in December and it is hanging at my MIL to be house.I have had hair and makeup trials too so I got the people I wanted. It also has given us time to pay for it without the stress. My venue is paid off as well as a lot of other things and we have only got to find another £2000 - £3000. It pays to start early so all you brides and grooms starting early , keep on booking and sorting the things you want as then you'll have no disappointments.

Our wedding is booked for 27th sept 14. I have my venue booked which has a fantastic package deal so not only is my venue & food sorted but dj, chair covers, flowers, suits, cake, photographer & dvd man are all booked too. I have priced & am ready to order our rings & my dress is ordered & should be in store in sept. A year early buy sure at least it's there. I have friends who got engaged & married in 5 months & everyine wanted to know what the rush was! People are never happy unless they're commenting on something that's nothing to do with them. If money was no object I would have done it sooner but I need time to save. Plus I'm so excited I couldn't wait to get stuck in to the planning :)

Glad other people have had the 'you're organised' comments! We're getting married 8th November 2014 and we booked the venue back in April. We've also bought our save the date magnets and I've ordered my dress. It's never too early to start planning xxx

I just think it takes the pressure off paying for it if you have plenty of time to pay for stuff bit by bit. Besides anyway I booked my wedding last year and was like grr it seems like ages away but honestly it just flies by (only a year to go now!) You know what really annoys me though? people who have gotten engaged after I did and are already married (they got married like 6 months later) wish I could afford to get engaged and married soon after but never mind :) happy planning everyone hope its all coming along great x
