Well me and H2B have just got back from my 2 yr old neices Christening!!! Who is also my flower girl next June ... SCARED! Lol it was the funniest Christening I've been to.... She chatted through the whole thing, then is also potty training so needed the toilet constantly, then my sister forgot to pull her knickers up so she Lili (my neice) decided to announce to the whole church her knickers were still down!!! When it came to the holy water part she was shunning away from it and then blew out her candle symbolising the 'Light of Christ' I thought the vicar was going to spontaniously combust at one point! I think she might be a devil child lol.
The whole experience has left me postively terrified on how she will be at the wedding next year but I'm thinking her antics will draw the attention away from me so it's only a bonus! Any ideas what to give her to hold other than flowers though because I dont she her holding them for very long lol

Oh bless her - kids are so funny! Our daughter is our flowergirl - she will be almost 20 months old when we get married next month, she's such a character! She's going to be holding a wand instead of flowers x

you can get a little mesh bag, its kinda the same idea as the wand only it has petals in the bag. They are really cute, can get them in love heart shape aswell

WeeMintyMonkie - thats the thing she is totally cute, I am slightly biased because I'm her auntie, so you can't get cross with her for not sitting still. Your right she will be 3 by then so she might be slightly mellower lol
P.S I was pleased to read you might be moving your wedding day forward, Congratulations hun xxx

We will be having a 2 year olf flowergirl, our daughter, who I am 110% sure will most defintley steal the show, but at least I know to expect it!

So cute.
Our 2 daughters are our flowergirls and they will be aged 3.5 and 23months at wedding. they are a right double act, i can only imagine what they are going to be like. I was going to get little baskets or cages filled with petals for them but the older one decided that she wanted to hold a bouqet so my sister who is a florist is going to make mini bouquets for them both. i also have a 3.5 & 4 year old page boys!

Hi, how about giving her some rose petals to scatter as she walks down the aisle? You could tell her how important her 'job' is. It will give her something to concentrate on and keep her little fingers busy, (check with the vicar first though as he may not appreciate clearing up the petals). Also, if her parents don't mind, put a box of small toys and sweeties on her seat. This should keep her entertained during the ceremony. :)

Thanks 262michellej I hadn't thought of the petal idea, we're seeing the Vicar at the end of the month so I'll ask him then. I think the toys and sweeties are a must! Lol xxx

Bribery is always the best way! I general bribe her anyway so she probably wont do anything without the promise of presents or sweeties lol xxx
