we have looked at another venue and now cant decide which one we like better! the first we still love but has no accomadation, the 2nd is lovely and does have the accomadation but isnt as rustic as the first which i love!
just waiting on the quote on the 2nd one which might be the clincher lol. i am going to take my mum to have a look too, see what she thinks! my heart says one my head says another...arghh so confused!

Think about why you feel the need to have accomodation.

I know that it is a nice bonus to have - but do you really really need it!?

I have accomodation where im getting married but My brother didnt - and his wedding was great. Taxis were booked to take people to their hotels when the wedding finished.

Think about what is most important - the look of your venue and having the 'wow' factor OR making sure the guests dont have to organise transport at the end of the night to get back to their hotels/homes.

I mean Its not that big a deal to call a cab.

Hope what Im saying makes sense!

Our venue only has 18 rooms, so only about half the guests can stay there - the other half will have to get taxis to hotels near by.

Always go with your heart - accomodation shouldnt be the end all and be all of choosing your venue!

Our venue has very little accomodation, but again we have plenty of places near by.
I've been in love with our venue for years and wouldn't give it up even if it didn't have accomadation.

lol thanks hun. it isnt vital that it has accomadation, but a lot of the guests will be travelling for 4-5 hours, so it would be a bonus. Both venues have the wow factor but for different reasons. ohhhh i dunnoooo lol

my venue has only 8 bedrooms one is for us included in our package, and the 7 other ones most likely for my family/friends from abroad who will be staying over several days. H2B family will have to find accommodation nearby. thats H2b idea to put only my French guests in that hotel.

most of my guests will also be travelling for 5 hours to get to our venue. Nr London to the west coast of Wales (4.5 hours if youre lucky and dont have toilet breaks!! 6 hours if you stop for food! lol!)

But most of them are staying in hotels near by.

I say go with your heart. but it is up to you! Maybe get quotes for both and then see how you feel! :)

I have put up some local hotel on my website and will direct all my guests to it, so they can get in touch whenever they want with enough notice :)

Our venue doesnt have accomodation and because the invites go out months in advance people have the time to save and find somewhere to stay.

Id say go with your heart too and ask yourself how u feel at both venues, putting accomodation aside, can you see yourself being there? feeling relaxed? and just picture all ur guests and you & h2b and im sure you will find the one :D xxxxx

yeah we have a hotel section on our website too - what was quite funny though was one of my friends called this place up and they said they were fully booked 'I think there is a wedding on or something' the woman said and my freind was like 'yeah there is and Im going to it!!' lol!!

But it was only full because a load of friends called us up as soon as they heard about the wedding and asked about hotels - so a lot of them had booked their hotels before the invites even went out!!!!

I really want a Marquee so I might end up with a field somewhere lol, what I have thought of doing is putting a list of local hotels in with their invite so that they can book and then its up to them where they stay.
go with your heart its your big day x

I would never let accomodation get in the way of my dream venue. People can get taxis to the nearest hotel so it isn't a make or break deal. There are loads of brides on here having their parties in town halls, working mens clubs, private function rooms etc so it isn't a must that they have a bed to go to at the end of the night.

Our venue has 10 bedrooms and ours.

We loved a restaurant, but it didn't have accomodation. The place was lovely and bright and airy, but just that little bit too far out for our evening guests, and the last thing we wanted to do was have a big empty room as the evening guests couldn't afford the taxi fare.

This is where it gets daft, we have loved some venues and thought they were lovely until we saw the honey moon suite.....and by this I mean the bathroom.. yes Daft I know....but when you look at a room then the bathroom and it's not got a bath for 2 we got turned off! I have no idea why??? It may have something to do with the fact of if its not the bathroom its the wedding we're talking about as we are doing both this month.

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do
