thats why we started collecting miles. will still cost us about 3k but we arent going to do it again, we are going for 10 nights without ds.

The song 'Loch Lomond' is our song as when OH stayed at his mums you could see loch lomond from his bedroom window. it will be our last song at the wedding (As it is at alot of weddings) and its not a good choice for first dance. think we are going with Caledonia for our first dance :)

It is stunning, we get married not far from there. Because we live so close we take it for granted its like Glasgow is full of beautiful places but ive seen very few of them.

Great idea for table names. At the moment we are going for numbers so hoping for some inspiration! lol :)

Peacock/woodland theme. I guess we could pick tree names and our address has the name of a tree in it...

I am writing to inform you that One Fine Day changed hands on Tuesday 24th February.

The change of ownership is due to a change in my family circumstances as my husband has been fortunate in receiving a promotion which will mean that the family is moving abroad. Having spent 10 years building a successful business, the decision to move has been extremely difficult.

However, I am delighted to be transferring the running of the business over to two extremely talented cake designers/bakers, business partners Salome and Selina. Salome has worked with me seasonally for the last 8 years and is a highly skilled and qualified confectioner with 18 years’ experience in the industry. She has worked as a college lecturer for the past 5 years and regularly hosts her own cake decorating Master Classes around Glasgow. Selina has worked in the bakery industry for 30 years, and worked on the QE2 as a baker and confectioner. Selina is also a college lecturer in the bakery department at the City of Glasgow College working alongside Salome and together they made a wonderful cake as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. As they both have the same passion for attention to detail as me I am confident that One Fine Day is in very safe hands.

I confirm that all details of your order will remain the same and Salome and Selina are looking forward to meeting you on 30th May to finalise your cake details.

I really don't know how I feel about it, she could have just left and said nothing so im grateful that she has informed us properly. Ill speak to Oh when he gets home tonight see what mr laidback says. Im trying not to panic etc but i am a natural worrier lol

I don't think you have anything to worry about! She's done the right and professional thing by letting you know, explaining that she is leaving the company in good hands and detailing their experience/qualifications etc.. they sound very competent and I'm sure they will do a wonderful job!! x

Ordered my wedding ring yesterday WOOHOO aso got a call to ay my shoes have arrived in the shop :)

Was dress shopping with my sister today and I think we have got her wedding dress going out again next week but ill be surprised if she goes for anything else.

Hen night deposits paid for 30 people so glad that's now taken care of can't wait.

Just got a txt to say my wedding ring is ready to be collected Woohoo prob won't be able to collect it until Sunday now.

Snap. In p my engagement ring feels all lonely now without my wring. It defiantly finishes it off.

Day time invotes have been written out tonight :) now just need to give them out, I have put my parents one inside mums mothers day card from our DS (Invites are coming from him).

Will write the evening ones out soon, was hard enough getting oh to do these ones but they have rsvp date of May eveing ones are June so have a bit of time.

Got my cake tasting tomorrow can't wait to decide on the four flavours and the ribbons we are taking ds so he feels involved too.

We had our cake tasting yesterday was a bit disappointed that we didnt get to try all the flavours as it is we have 2 tiers on the cake we haven't tried but I am sure they are just as amazing as the others. Gave the inlaws their invites so can now post the rest off :)

we are really happy with the cake and the only thing that is changing is the ribbon I am extremely happy that she can get OH's kilt tartan in a ribbon the size required :)

Previously they didnt do red velvet but now do it was the only thing that let the baer down so I am ecstatic to be having red velvet cake :)

Last weekend we went to the wedding venue with our bridal party and the photographer for afternoon tea. It was an excuse for the photographer to see the Venue and also for the whole Bridal party to get together and see the venue. My mum and sister have seen the venue before but no one else had.

Ds loved it and he cant wait to get married there.
everyone else loved it Mil didn't say anything about it, I dont get on with her she is so rude but its a bad day when my mum give up trying with her because she was getting one word answers and the photographer (My BILS dad and part of our family) said that she was extremely rude too and she kept disappearing to have a cigarette (She doesnt smoke anymore) she also didnt take anything to eat and then had the cheek to say to my oh you will need to pay for mine ive no money on me ARGH anyway not getting to me just hope she doesn't act that way on our wedding day.

The food for afternoon tea was great and the server was amazing with our son (some servers in other places have just ignored him) he was chatting away to him and made sure he had special jam sandwiches just for him.

Photographer loved the venue and said even if we have to have it indoors he has no problems with light for the photographs big weight off my mind :)

Evening invites now written out just waiting on some addresses before I post them off.

So its looking like we wont be going on a honeymoon as we have decided to move house and we have put a deposit down for a new build but need to sell our house ASAP.

Got our appointment for the Bridesmaid dress alterations on 3rd July.

My wedding dress was ordered 12 weeks ago today and they said it would be here withing 12 weeks im going to leave it a couple of weeks and phone them as its only an estimate.

Yeah I cant wait hoping its not too much longer but at the same time I dont want it too soon. Less time to have it in home
