ok disaster...its what ive feared the past 2 months...
tried my dress on earlier and it WONT ZIP UP! it gets half way then wont go up anymore.... i need to lose an inch in less than 2 weeks!!
when i bought my dress i was going through a very stressful time and i lost quite abit of weight (didnt see the weightloss myself as i was very down) and now im ok again its slowly crept back on :(
im already on a strict diet and been exercising but what if it wont shift?! are those SPANX PANTS any good? how much do they pull you in by? any other brand that might help?
    HEEELLPPPP MMMEEEEEE x

Spanx are a good bet. Atkins isnt something I normally reccommend but short term is fab for getting rid of a few unwanted pounds. Also have you tried your local salon they have treatments for inch loss. xx

OK, first of all dont panic! Look at buying some very good control underwear/corset. You could also try a body wrap, they are supposed to take a couple of inches off, might not be cheap but worth it!

Sometimes I find I fit in things fine in the morning then as the day goes on I put on inches! So try it on first thing in the morning when you first get up... see if that makes a difference!

Body micro current and take inches off you can have it 2ce a week its to metal probes that squeeze the fibres together I did one lady and she lost nearly 3inches in one session I think there are only a few salons that actually do this electrical treatment and the costs can vary x

I lost a stone in a week with the cabbage soup or onion soup diet. It doesn't however mean that you will lose it off the area needed. Ask the seamstress if she can get any more out of the seams for you.

    Hi Holly

I had exactly the same problem as you - My dress is 1inch too small - I contacted a local seamstress and am having a corset back put in but she said that you can take the seams out on most dresses by an inch either side. I decided to have a corset back put in because it would give me something to help pull me in. It hasnt cost me that much. About 40-50 quid i think but its better than having to buy a new dress.

Hold your dress up to the light and look at the seams. You will see how much material you have to play with.

A last option and one which i did was collonic irrigation. not pleasant but it worked and I lost just over half an inch because of it.

If you want any other help my email address is on your wall. Add me on fb and i will talk to you on there.

Your really not alone - this stressed me out too.

    Amy

    lol bless ya honey.

I think all you can do weight wise, is start on a REALLY good diet TODAY and get your butt to the gym EVERY SINGLE DAY, hammering the cardio until the day before your wedding.

It might not work but may be worth giving it go sweetie x

You have to make sure that you don't reduce your calorie intake too drastically or stop eating or your body will think that there is a shortage and will start storing fat. Eat lots of small (healthy) meals up to 10 a day and use small plates, that way you never get hungry and the small plates con your brain into thinking you are eating more. The best exercise I've found is walking and running. Walking up hill is good. If you have or can borrow some children find a steep hill and push them up it in a buggy. It doesn't cost anything either.
    Good luck

jelly tot i feel your pain luv!

i lost 8lb and 3" in 5 days on the dukan diet. i won't lie it is hard, but basically you can eat all the lean meat and fish that you like and non fat dairy, like mullerlight yoghurts, it's the lack of carbs that seem to be the reason for the quick weight loss.

don't get me wrong i put it back on in a few weeks because i went back to normal eating, but it is a quick fix that works. google it if you are interested.
    xx

No it wasn't a typo it was a stone but then I did have more to shift so its not like I just had a few pounds to shift. The bigger you are the easier it is to lose a lot in one go. Its not just the fat you lose its the water content as well even though you drink more than enough to stay hydrated. Jellytot and MrsMAc2B you both live near me as well. I'm in Atherstone.

Well I cant suggest much that hasnt already been suggested sadly i think a combination of trying everything on here might help. Buy hold it in pants/bodysuit from tesco and try on your dress again i think they're about £12 always worth a shot. I hope you get it sorted xXx

p.s. can't resist temptation on the title...... "1inch help"???? You're not supposed to see that til the wedding night ;)

i had to lose some inches a while back and i used an exercise video by Charlie Brookes and healthy eating for a week and lost two inches round my legs and then about an inch around the waist. might be worth a go...if not the video then as said previously, loads of cardio but be careful not to cause yourself damage cause the last thing you want is to break/strain something before your big day!

Have you heard back from any yet? Also if you find a good one can you let me know as I may need one too at some point as my bridesmaid dresses are not being brought from the bridal shop and they charge a lot of money for fittings. Keep us up to date with the dress situation.
