I'm soooo dying to order all the sweets/biscuits for our dessert table…but that is definitely not going to help with my very very last minute drive to lose 20 lbs before this wedding. I have put off the weight loss for ages and now i'm exactly 4 months away and I have to kick it into high gear to get my arms in strapless shape and the rest of me bikini ready (my dress itself is pretty forgiving)

I am just annoyed at myself…I could've started this process in september of last year and done it nice and slow. Now it is juicing and Insanity BOOOO

Don't be too hard on yourself Rebecca, we all do it.... I need to loose 7-14lbs and I just keep putting it off... It's my fiancé's birthday today and his parents are visiting this weekend so my diet needs to really kick start this Monday.

I'm sort of the same as you in that my dress looks lovely on at the moment, but I just want to tone my tummy more for the honeymoon, it's okay looking nice on the wedding and then awful for all the honeymoon snaps. So annoyed with myself as I used to be a lot slimmer. People look now and say I don't need to lose any weight, but I know I was slimmer before and don't want to look back at my wedding and not think I was in the best shape I could be. (fiancé's fault for taking so long to propose)

Your plans are all coming together beautifully. Can't believe how close the wedding is now. Can't wait to see it all come together perfectly on the day. How soon after the wedding do you go on honeymoon?

It's tough. I have people say that to me as well but I've managed to put on 23 lbs since I came to London and I want it off. (i discovered a serious obsession with Pickled Onion Monster Munch and milk chocolate hobnobs) It is about being comfortable with yourself and in your clothes. I'm seriously challenging the seams of my jeans at the moment lol

I hear you about family celebrations... there always seems to be something! I'm getting my tonsils out in March so eating at all will be a challenge..but i have my first fitting on the 18th April and I can't put it off anymore.

We go on our honeymoon a week later but I have a feeling eating will be a major theme while my family is visiting… I want to look good in my honeymoon snaps but i also want to be able to get a Harrods sundae with my niece who's never been to the UK! lol I want my 21 year old metabolism back. The 30s have seen some epic slowing… lol

I hear you about you and your metabolism slowing down and hitting you in your 30s! I've never been skinny but the last 3 years have seen my weight slowly creep up and I'm not eating any more than I used to. I need to lose at least a stone, I've lost 2.5lbs so far! I know my wedding is a long way off but I'm scared about putting even more on then getting to this time next year and having a total meltdown because my dress won't fit! lol

I'm your typical yo-yo dieter but I've been taking the slow and steady approach this time rather than losing a few stone in a matter of weeks. I'm 19.5 lbs down so far, it's a confidence thing for me more than anything! I feel like a mouse when I'm big :(

Meeting the love Antonia and Steve from Jakabi Photography on Sunday! Part of the package we won! Ryan and I will meet them at the venue and start talking about what kinds of shots we'll be taking! So excited!!!

Have my flower consultation on Tuesday as well! So much going on! Now that the wedding is 3 months away there is so much to do!!

On a totally different note though, I'm getting my tonsils out on Friday…which is far far far less exciting :-/ Scared.

Thanks Emma and Teresa! Yeah i'm doing that too…and I keep trying to add little things which the OH is vetoing (to be fair..we don't have the budget to add many little things!)

I'm sure the Op will be okay but I am going to try super hard to avoid ice cream. Hoping to drop a few lbs at least to make the best of it! hahah

OH, BTW…Met with Antonia and Steve from Jakabi Photography, the photographer we won in the UKBride prize! They were absolutely fabulous and so so sweet. I was a bit worried about having people we didn't know taking pictures..it feels like it could be a bit invasive, but they were honestly SO warm and lovely! We ended up doing an impromptu Engagement shoot as well which was just amazing! We talked about wanting to do one but then said no because of funds. Wonderful to have a few of those special photos now! Should have them in them in the next couple of weeks so I'll be sure to post them!!

Honestly though, I would 100% recommend to anyone and they've not even DONE the wedding yet…that's how comfortable and confident they made us feel!!!

    Hello all!

Just a quick note! Got the proofs from our mini impromptu engagement shoot! They have done an amazing job and are letting choose 5 photos for free (can't believe they threw this in!)

It's a bit of wedding weight wake up call for me tho! I look bigger than I think of myself so I'm really going to need to kick my butt. I've been so on and off with the diet which is terrible. and more importantly not working lol

I think I'm going to need to practice my photo skills! Ry and I were laughing so much during the whole shoot that I don't think there is a photo of me where my gums aren't showing! lol But to be fair..that's how I spend most days with Ryan!

So I'm home recovering from my tonsillectomy… this was the most painful experience, but I am finally on the upswing a bit! Meanwhile…lost 11lbs in 9 days. So hey..it may be the wedding diet from hell, but it works!

I tried to upload my engagement pictures to this thread but I seem to not be a power user anymore? I switch banks and they were supposed to switch over my direct debits, but I have a feeling they missed UKBride. I may need to sign up again?

Anyway, I added the pics to an album on my page so you can check them out on there as I figure it out!!! They did such a beautiful job! Absolutely love them. We played a teeny bit with them (cropping and photoshopping out a couple of our less joyful looking crows feet) but they did a stunning job!!! Especially since the engagement shoot wasn't part of our prize and was just a total surprise! So lovely! Our friends/family have all been saying how fantastic they are! Can't believe we won our photography…such an incredible gift!

I cannot believe how soon it is. 11 weeks. Insane. We are getting the paperwork done a couple days before and having our friend officiate the ceremony at the venue. I think we are all going to sit down together on Monday and begin working through what the ceremony will look like! A lot happening this month and next:

    14 April- Register Intent
    18 April- Dress Fitting
28 April- Meeting with our wedding planner at the venue
2 May- Sienna-X spray tan trial at the W (sooooo excited about this)
5 May- Hair and Makeup Trial number two!
    18 May- Meeting with florist
    30 May- Hen Do

Gonna head over to M&S as well for some lingerie and honeymoon clothes at some point next month! It all feels so real and pampery!
I hope everyone else is enjoying their planning!?

All recovered and managing to keep off my tonsillectomy lbs (mostly!)

I have my first fitting on the 18th April…so insanely excited!! Right now I am super impatiently waiting for our cake design from Sophisticake!! I am sooo desperate to see it. She's just brilliant.

Cannot believe I only have 10 weeks to go until the wedding! 9 weeks until my mom and sister arrive! It seemed ages away and all of sudden its like…here. haha.

So many last minute details to sort (including PAYING for everything!)

    Still need to:

    *Choose our white wine
    *Approve our cake design
*Set up a meeting with Picture Perfect Events (She is doing uplighting, some little bits and pieces, and our dessert table decor)
    *Send out evening invites
*Arrange a pub for rehearsal nibbles/drinks for out of town guests the night before
*Organise a keyboard for the singing portion of our wedding ceremony (the fiancé is an actor as are a million friends who are coming..I'd be crazy not to have them sing lol)
    *Chase RSVPS
*Find wings and a basket for my flower girl (she's asked to be a 'rose fairy')
    *Do our Table Plan
*Design our menus, programs, and table plan
*Get little bits of lace for the place settings
*Organise welcome bags for out of town guests (this will depend on budget)
    * Figure out Bridesmaids and parents gifts
*Paint the box we're using for cards
*Organise WHAT is going to be ON the dessert table lol
    * Spray tan fitting
*Find a good place for some defuzzing of me
*Find a good place for my mom, sis, and I to get our nails done
*Organise food for the bridesmaids while we're getting ready
*Find pet sitters for the dog and cat while we are on a mini-moon with my family and for our actual honeymoon

Ahhh. I know it'll all happen…it's just so much! The list just gets longer every day!

Hello all… I would love some help and advice from you all!

We are talking with our DJs. As you guys know, I lost my dad a couple of years ago so I've decided to do a Mother/Daughter dance, but I have no idea WHEN to have it? The DJ suggested doing it right after the First Dance, but I feel like we should break it up a little otherwise the energy is a bit low…

I'm thinking First Dance, followed by a song to get the crowd moving (Destiny's child..obvs) and then the Mother/Daughter Dance maybe? I would love to know what everyone else is doing. The way our venue is, people can be in multiple rooms but I would like to make sure everyone is in the Great Hall (where the dancing is) for when I dance with my mom...

I would probably do it straight after. It makes it easier as everyone will already be in Hall instead of the spreading out in the other rooms to be gathered back again later. Of course, go with what you would prefer and be comfortable with, but I would do them together x

i think i would do it after the first dance too! then you can get the party going after and it will be left for the fun and more lively stuff, saves calling people back and it makes them all take a step back for a bit and maybe remember your dad and then you can then get on and enjoy the rest of your evening,

either that or save it for the end of the night before you all do the last few quiet dances and it finishes the night off.

im sure whatever you decide to do, it will fit in just right xx

Thanks all! Had a bit of a mini-meltdown yesterday…truly embarrassing. I had recommended everyone stay at a certain hotel in Chelsea. I stayed their once and remembered it being lovely…wanted to make sure all my guests traveling from America had somewhere wonderful to stay. HOWEVER, I decided to book myself a suite (treat yo'self right?!) and went to go see it.

Well boy was I in for a shock. The 'Suite' was TINY and the other rooms looked like a hostel. I was completely appalled. Then as I was talking with the woman who showed me around, I watched as a woman dragged her own luggage up to the elevator. Not the kind of service you expect when you pay big money. Just awful.

Luckily, I was able to cancel our reservations but then was faced with the MASSIVE task of finding another hotel in the same area that was astronomical in June. Well, thank my lucky stars….I found it! I found it and its not THAT much more expensive and its BEAUTIFUL!!!! So much nicer than the first! And the staff is sooo wonderful. Immediately offered up a bottle of champagne for the suite…lowered their prices to accommodate my family's budget…

I want to shout from the rooftops about how wonderful this place is. If you are looking for a lovely hotel in London…send me over a message so I can recommend!!!!!

    Thanks Mrs.M Wade 2b!

It has gone so insanely fast. I can't believe it. I am soooo excited about our Kuoni honeymoon. I haven't had a real vacation in years and years …and years!

I need time to slow down just a little bit so I can savour the moments!!!!!

We are going to Buccament Bay in St Vincents!!!! It is so incredible! 7 nights all -inclusive. I think this feels like the most incredible prize b/c we definitely were not going to have a honeymoon at all before the UKBride win!!!

Well Emma, if you want any suggestions for shows or hotels or anything let me know!!!!!

And yeah…London is just the most expensive place ever. It is just shocking. Just basic day to day life eats up the pay check!!!!
