So yesterday we had our engagement party, it was a lovely do, the amount we expected to turn up did (we invited around 70-80 people, around 40 turned up) it was lovely, i asked my bridesmaids if they would be bridesmaids with a lovely gift, I bought a very small wicca basket with a small bottle of wine, body cream, face mask, tissues, a candle, paracetamol and some chocolate and a personalised card asking them to be my bridesmaid.
I didnt ask my sister, and jesus christ did I know about it. My mum was absolutely vile to me throughout the night, ignoring me, snarling at me, ignoring me when I was speaking to her, then when she was drunk acting lovely. This morning I have decided to just ignore her completely I am not in the mood for her games and nastiness. If she wanted me and my sister to get along she should have got her stick out of her stirring pot.
My H2B also asked his best man to be the Best Man last night, so it was a night of welling up aswell as everything else! it was a lovely lovely night so now it is on to start the preparations for a wedding!!! We got a lot of money last night as presents so I think we will be putting the cash towards the venue and the gift cards towards mine or his wedding ring, whichever cost the most.

I think if your wedding day is 20 months+ away then why not? if its 12-18 months i personally wouldn't but if your getting married 2016-17 then have a small one, we organised ours in 6 weeks cost us around £500 to sort. That includes my dress swell x

Andrea everyone is different we had our engagement party booked only a few weeks before we booked the wedding so felt like as we had paid deposit we should go ahead with it we didn't think we would have found the venue so quick. We had a great night to celebrate with our families and friends. we had 18 months from the engagement party to wedding day

Sorry to have yet another rant regarding bridesmaids and my sister!!!
I asked my stepsister to be bridesmaids which she accepted (shed lives in london) so i am in the middle of arranging a weekend down to London so we can go dress shopping, however she text me and emailed me before saying i should be having her as a bridesmaid ext ect.
Is it just me seriously? am am furious because everyone just doesn't get the freeking hint!!! noone is listening they all ask why she's not, i explain, i have nothing to do with my sister, she is invited to special occasions because she's family otherwise we have nothing to do with each other! She told me she was going to leave my son without a mother for christs sake why would i want to associate myself with someone who even says such rubbish. Simple answer is I DONT!!
Ive just said to H2B I'm going to end up like a bridezilla at this point because nobody is listening to me!!!
