I’m the founder of Empty Box, and my passion is helping you protect one of the most meaningful keepsakes from your wedding day — your dress.

Your wedding gown isn’t just fabric and stitching. It’s the dress you said “yes” in. The one you walked down the aisle in. The one you laughed, cried, hugged and danced in. It carries memories that deserve to be preserved with care.

I created Empty Box because I realised that so many beautiful gowns were being stored in plastic garment bags, lofts, spare rooms or wardrobes without proper protection. Over time, this can lead to yellowing, fabric breakdown and damage to delicate lace, beading and embroidery. After all the love and investment that goes into choosing the perfect dress, it simply deserves better.

At Empty Box, we design and supply luxury wedding dress storage boxes made using high-quality, acid-free materials. Acid-free preservation is so important because it helps protect delicate fabrics from deterioration and discolouration over time. Our boxes are strong, breathable and carefully designed to give your gown the space and support it needs.

We know that wedding dresses come in all shapes and sizes — from sleek, minimalist designs to dramatic ballgowns with long trains and layers of tulle. That’s why we offer boxes that accommodate a variety of styles, ensuring your dress can be stored safely without being crushed or stressed.

The Empty Box Company has been hand-making beautiful Wedding Dress Boxes & Travel Boxes for 38 years in our Devon workshop Wedding Dresses that have been kept in one of our Wedding Dress Boxes have remained as beautiful as they day they were put inside, protected from light, dust, disaster, and preventing discolouration or yellowing. We also specialise in Wedding Dress Travel Boxes to take a dress through as hand-luggage for a destination wedding. No lost luggage in the hold. The Travel Boxes are also suitable to keep the dress in after the wedding day. We use eco-friendly materials sourced in the UK wherever possible to make our boxes. A wedding dress will discolour, or turn yellow, if kept incorrectly, for too long, such as in a normal cardboard box, or plastic dress cover. We have a size to suit every style of wedding dress & a design for you to choose so your dress box is unique to you.
