Information For Torbay Wedding Car Club

Possibly the largest selection of Classic and Vintage Wedding cars in Devon. Based in Torbay but covering the south and mid Devon.

With a great selection of Classic and Vintage cars to choose from we will always have something to suit your wedding style. All our cars have been meticulously maintained or restored to a very high standard. If they are not at a wedding you will find them at a classic car show and many have been winners in their class. On your big day the car will arrive an hour before you are due to leave for the ceremony so you know the car is waiting for you not the other way around. Chauffeur driven by the owner on the day the cars are washed, polished and checked so they are shown off at their best. We do not leave the reception until all the photos have been taken with the car and so a days wedding for us can be anywhere from 4 to 6 hours. We only do one wedding per car per day so there is no rush to get to you or to leave to get to another wedding. If time and distance allows we can do multiple journeys to the church taking the groom and best man before returning for the brides party saving you having to hire two cars. That said we can supply multiple cars for you are have a selection of four S type Jaguars that can be hired together.

Over twenty privately owned cars to choose from. Jaguars, Bentleys, Alvis, Ford, Rover, Humbers. All the cars come chauffeur driven by their owner and are present as show cars. We cover most of South Devon but are based in Torbay. As some of our cars only do 12 miles to the gallon we only work a thirty mile radius from TQ2 post code. No hidden costs and prices range from £300 to £500. We only do one wedding per car per day so there is no rush to get to you or leave. A wedding for us can last 4 to 6 hours. Our service is second to none and backed up by countless reviews.

Top Wedding Tips

Book all your suppliers early so all the planning is done well in advance and there is no panic on the day. A phone call to them all 14 days in advance to check all the details sets your mind at ease.

Set up a file on your computer or in Outlook so you can add the details of all your suppliers with names, emails and phone numbers together.

On your wedding day smile for every photo as this will be the only time you will be dressed as you are with all your friends in one place for a long time. Its your day so own it.

Beautiful Wedding Car.
Helen and I were certainly glad to have Rob and the ALVIS as part of our wedding day. Upon my arrival at the venue, I gave Rob an envelope to deliver to my bride, who later informed me that he did not just hand her the envelope but presented it to her making it all the more special. 1953 Alvis Convertible
Robert was great on our wedding day. We had the convertible Alvis which is one of the most beautiful cars ever, and I was pleasure to travel in. My wife was worried about her hair in a convertible, yet Rob put the roof half down for the majority of the journey for her and all was well! Such a professional service offered by a gentleman who is very passionate about it.

60th wedding anniversary
I wanted something a little different to help make my parents 60th wedding anniversary extra special… after speaking with Robert it was soon arranged – he would pick them up in the Jag, from their home in Bovey Tracey, and drive them in style to their “Second Honeymoon”, a hotel in Torquay (and back again a couple of days later)…

Robert kept it all a secret and I simply told them that I’d ordered them a “taxi”… my parents had owned a similar car in the 70’s and were cock-a-hoop when Robert arrived – in “full attire”… they were especially pleased to hear from Robert about how the Jag had been so lovingly restored…

So, thank you very much Mr Cassidy, it was a diamond service…

We couldn’t have hoped for a better car, driver or all-round service for our wedding day. Rob was so organised and professional in the planning stages, and we were really reassured by the fact that they do practice runs beforehand to allow time for traffic etc and not run late if it can be helped. I was given a clear time when the car would arrive, again building in lots of time so there was no panicking! Rob really seems to understand what is needed on a wedding day, and this was one thing that we just didn’t have to worry about at all. The Humber Sceptre is a simply stunning car, and the owner John was so friendly and welcoming. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to ride with the roof open and see everyone we passed stopping to stare at this lovely car! We were so impressed by everything and will definitely recommend TWCC to anyone.

ROBERT CASSIDY

Robert started the idea of a wedding car club in 2016 having just finished the restoration of his own 1968 S type Jaguar. Having lots of friends with classic cars he came up with the idea of getting the cars out being used for weddings and not just for shows. Selecting only the best and most suitable cars you have to agree that the cars on the Web site are stunning.
