Robyn made us the most wonderful two-tiered wedding cake. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious, throughout, Robyn was very helpful, responsive and delivered everything on time. She also whipped up some vegan and gluten free cupcakes at relatively short notice. All round brilliant!

Salters Events did a very small private wedding lunch - including for a gluten free friend (who said it was the best gluten free meal she'd ever had) - and it was simply superb. They put together such an interesting menu we could all enjoy. I still dream of the coconut and lime wedding cake.

We had a fantastic experience with Robyn and Ian - they were very receptive to our ideas about what we wanted and made it all happen absolutely beautifully. Staff and service on the day absolutely couldn't be faulted and we have had so many compliments from our guests about the food. They even jumped in at the last minute to save an emergency wedding-cheese-cake presentation issue which we had completely forgotten to organise in the busy morning of. 100% would absolutely recommend and will be returning for any other events we need to cater in the future!

From the first conversations with Salters Events on planning my daughter wedding cake we were delighted they could accommodate all her wishes and design. The pricing was great also. Communication was fantastic and the cake was delivered to the venue and constructed. We had quite a stressful moment with the venue not having the tables ready and the lovely Salter team stopped and helped us! It was very much appreciated. The cake looked exactly as we had planned and tasted gorgeous. The whole thing disappeared quickly! Guests were very complimentary and certainly enjoyed eating it. Would highly recommend their service, kindness and delicious cake.

Robyn and Ian catered for our wedding this July and we couldn't recommend them more highly. All of our guests said how delicious the food was and how well fed they were! Which doesn't always happen at weddings. Robyn made a fantastic wedding cake for us, which was three layers of different delicious sponge cakes that tasted incredible. They helped to coordinate the day and looked after everyone so well. We were so grateful for Robyn, Ian and their team's hard work.

Salter events (Ian and Robyn) are a family run small business who provided us with incredible food at our wedding.

During the planning stage they helped us to plan the perfect menu that suited us and our tastes. They did a wonderful tasting session for us. They were fast to respond to any queries. They also went to view our venue beforehand as they hadn't catered there before and wanted to check it out to make sure it all ran smoothly.

They were realistic on the number of waiting staff required and were very transparent about all costs on this from the start. This meant that service ran flawlessly and food was out efficiently.

The food itself was delicious. The canapés were stylish, smart and tasty. The sticky beef in particular was a winner with all our guests! There were plenty to go around. The three course meal we had was plated to a very good restaurant standard. The presentation was immaculate. It was some of the best food we've ever eaten.

Overall, we could not recommend Ian and Robyn highly enough. We love that they are a small local business and we felt like we got to really know them. And of course the food was incredible!

We were very happy that we chose Salters Events to cater at our private wedding celebration party and to make our wedding cake last December. Robyn and Ian helped us plan the menu which was executed to perfection. The bowl foods and the macaroons looked amazing and were delicious. Our three tier wedding cake was so beautifully decorated and yummy too. Our guests were very impressed and we all had a most enjoyable and memorable evening. Thank you Robyn, Ian and the team for making our celebration party a very special one.

We can’t thank the team at Salters Events enough for the most wonderful wedding breakfast they provided. The whole process from choosing and tasting the menu, pairing the wine and service on the day was top quality. Almost everyone commented on how fantastic the food was. One guest who is in a wedding related business and has been to 6 weddings this year alone, said it was the best wedding catering they have had. I was worried that preparing the food for so many people in my mum’s kitchen would be a problem but if there was any difficulties, no one had any idea. In addition to the superb food, the service from the waiting staff was very professional, they had clearly been well trained.
My husband and I had a wonderful wedding day and a large part of that was due to Robyn and Ian. Thank you for making it so special.

Hiring Salter events, one of the best things at our wedding. Robyn & team were beyond great.

We hired Salters Event for our wedding in August 2021. From the moment we went to the tasting, we knew they were going to be brilliant. They were accommodating, flexible and communication was really clear.

On the day, the quality of the food was outstanding (I have no idea how they served 50 people out of such a tiny kitchen…!) and our guests regularly mention it to this day.
