The Real Wedding of Sophie & George

Sophie & George's Wedding Story

Thief Hall was the first venue we looked at. We looked at two more after but I think My sister-in-law told us about Thief Hall and after looking on the website I’d booked a viewing and instantly fell in love we went for it because it’s a blank canvas venue so we could decorate it however we wanted, as we have so many creative people around us.

The location is incredible with amazing views in the stuff for the best you could ever wish for they made the whole weekend feel very special and made us feel like we were the only people to ever get married at the photo. One of the best things about the venue is that it comes with holiday cottages so you can get the whole venue for the full weekend. This meant that all of her family and friends came to set up on Friday and made a massive pre-wedding feast with our nearest and dearest and then on the Sunday we all had a big breakfast in the hall and carried on the party. I’ll close family stayed until the Monday and we chilled in the hot tub which just made the whole wedding weekend even more special.

The wedding was Bohemian and rustic we wanted the wedding to reflect our laid-back free and wild style we are definitely countryside people! The most important element for us was the wedding to feel relaxed and laid-back and fun we didn’t have that usual between the meal and the evening as we had people playing rounders people on the bouncy castle people playing beer pong and people chilling on the terrace. Everyone commented on how that was wasn’t that quiet time where you don’t really know what to do. We didn’t go for a traditional meal instead we went for a Brazilian barbecue created by the outside kitchen.

The most special thing is that we did everything else selves my mum did the wedding stationery on the table pieces the buttonholes in the bouquets and the list goes on Georges mum did and dad did the waistcoats and the vintage ladders in the hall I made all of the chair backs and decorations including backdrop and the cake for name cards we is Polaroid pictures of each of our guests which turned into the table plan The most special thing is that we did everything else selves my mum did the wedding stationery on the table pieces the buttonholes in the bouquets and the list goes on Georges mum did and dad did the waistcoats and the vintage ladders in the hall I made all of the chair backs and decorations including backdrop and the cake for name cards we did Polaroid pictures of each of our guests which turned into the table plan and we created and swap funny stories in the back of this the favours with wildflower seeds that we like the idea of people taking them home and planting for them for themselves.

All in all our wedding was everything and more and our guests are still talking about in over 6 months after!
