Shannon & Diarmuid's Wedding Story
Shannon and Diarmuid reside on the crazily gorgeous Rathlin Island, so we knew this was going to take some serious coordination and some sweet weather to get me to the bride's house. I was up at an hour that should only exist in nightmares for my boat pickup in Ballycastle, but was quickly welcomed by the Cecil family and the bridal party. Even local superstar Marina McMullan swung by to trade photography tips while getting glammed up.
Once the church ceremony was done, we headed to the Viewpoint for some snaps with the bridal party group. And by "snaps", I mostly mean drinks and giggles. We couldn't leave without popping in for a quick pint at legendary McCuaig's Bar, and then we set sail back to the mainland on the Father of the Bride’s boat and headed all the way to The Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana. But not before we stopped off for some epic/fun/romantic couple photos at the Grianan of Aileach!
When we arrived at The Inishowen Gateway Hotel, the service was superb and the food was beyond delicious. By the time it came to the first dance, the day was almost over, but that dance floor was still buzzing when I left.
An exhausting but truly awesome day that's going to be pretty hard to top.
