Nicola & James's Wedding Story
Nicola writes; We came across the hotel by accident as we were in Beccles for a different reason, we're so glad we found it though! I fell in love with the Staithe Suite, where our ceremony was held, it was the perfect size, overlooking the river, fairy lights, very lovely room, as soon as we walked in we knew it was where we wanted to get married!
I was so nervous walking down the aisle, I didn't think I would feel emotional, but I really did, I was squeezing James's hand so hard when we were saying our vows! The ceremony was perfect it felt so special and intimate.
Charlotte, the Waveney house hotel Wedding Manager set the staithe suite up for our wedding breakfast, and did a wonderful a job, with my decorations and favours and the florist supplied the centrepieces, everything was how I imagined it to be! The speeches were made before the wedding breakfast, so they could relax and enjoy their meal! My dad, my husband and the best man, gave wonderful speeches, very proud of them all. The food was lovely, and the service was brilliant.
In the evening we had a DJ and I provided a DIY selfie booth and fairy light back drop, and a candy table! Our first dance was Stand by Me by Ben E King and it was perfect.
My Top Tip would be hire a videographer, even if it's just for the important bits, I didn't think I would like one but now I know the day goes so fast it would be lovely to look back at it all again!
