The Real Wedding of Mark & Katie

Mark & Katie's Wedding Story

Katie and Mark ordered the full shebang for their Pumping House Wedding Video. They ordered the Thorough Package which means we had 2 videographers there on the day and it includes a 10-15 minute feature film, a 3 minute highlight video, a 1 minute teaser video, the ceremony in full and the speeches in full. A vertical teaser was also included, just as a little experiment. This is intended to be used as an Instagram reel or TikTok video. This was the first time I tried out a vertical video but it worked really well so now it is included in all packages I offer.

The morning started with a super chilled bridal party getting ready at Katie’s Mum and Dad’s house. They put out a spread of croissants and fruit and mimosa. It was so luxurious and they insisted I tucked in. After getting a couple good shots I took them up on their offer. We had a great time listening to 90s pop and a sprinkling of “Hop Little Bunny” for Katie and Marks adorable daughter. All the gals got their makeup done by Heavenly Beauty by Kelly and they all looked fantastic.

Once Katie was in her dress I went to The Pumping House in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire to get shots of the empty ceremony space, guests arriving and any bits and bobs that help set the scene. Filming a Pumping House Wedding Video is such a treat and I’m so grateful that I have filmed there a few times over the years. It is always so spacious with lots of on-site locations for stunning set-ups. I love how chic it is inside and how the woods are right on your doorstep. Jo and the team are always so so helpful and I always have the best time shooting a Pumping House wedding video.

Right…back to Mark and Katie’s story. Shortly after I arrived at the Pumping House it was time for the ceremony, which went down without a hitch. We got the confetti shot, family portraits, drone footage, guests mingling and a quick session with just Katie and Mark but they said they didn’t want anything too posed so we kept it super natural and quick. We set up 4 cameras for the speeches, captured them in full then settled in for an amazing mezze style meal and a bit of a break.

Once the evening guests arrived, Katie and Mark did their first dance. Elvis’s Can't Help Falling in Love. A classic. After that the guest piled onto the dancefloor for a proper boogie. The evening was wrapped up more dancing, mingling around the bar and a whole load of food trucks. It was truly not your average wedding reception but it was so much fun.
