Julie & Stuart's Wedding Story
Stuart and I have been together for 27 years with the intention of getting married but never got around to arranging it until the beginning of May 2019. We were always too busy with work, and looking after our horses and dogs. Lindeth Howe was chosen as we had lunch there one day (on the recommendation of a friend), and the food was excellent. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere and feel about it. We also liked the interior design and quirky décor. A meeting was arranged with Tony to make the wedding arrangements. Tony couldn’t have been more helpful, and the date was set for 9th October 2019.
Stuart was having a routine ankle operation on the 15th May which unfortunately turned into a nightmare. As a result of the orthopaedic surgery, it was necessary to perform major life-saving stomach surgery 48 hours later. Stuart spent time in the Intensive Care Unit and was very poorly in the High Dependency ward for 7 weeks. Tony and the staff at Lindeth Howe were absolutely marvellous and were very understanding regarding our awful unexpected situation. Stuart came home from the hospital and it was decided after quite some weeks that he was well enough to go ahead with the wedding on the planned wedding date. At very short notice Tony organised our wedding day as planned. Plus, put in place all our additional requests. It was absolutely perfect! Everything about our wedding at Lindeth Howe was wonderful. All the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food served was of exceptional quality. Well done to the Chef and all the kitchen staff, thank you. The chef even requested a meeting with Stuart and went out of his way to prepare food for Stuart that he could actually eat and enjoy as he was on a very restricted boring diet due to his surgery. This was very much appreciated. The bridal suite was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay very much. As did all our guests who stayed over.
