The Real Wedding of John & Kate

John & Kate's Wedding Story

Due to Covid, we had to rethink our previous plans of a wedding abroad. We always intended for a small ceremony and a big party on our return, so we adapted our 'wedding abroad, party at home' package to have the whole day at Ribby Hall.

Ribby Hall had everything we wanted, they helped us to organise a small, intimate ceremony and reception in The Summer House and Garden Room, with just our closest family and friends...just like we had planned to have abroad. This was followed by an epic party in the impressive Woodlands suite - filled with all our family and friends. We partied until late, with the dance floor crammed with people enjoying our live saxophonist and incredible DJ.

Our theme was rustic – colour wise we went for soft, blush pink with a touch of green which sat perfectly next to pampas grass and macrame accessories. The Weddings team ensured everything was set up just as I wanted - which included photographs of lost loved ones, large wooden 'LOVE' letters, a children’s craft table to keep the little ones entertained as well as my personalised favours and table decorations. I created my own macrame backdrop, which was used during the ceremony, reception and as an evening 'selfie station'. The team at Ribby Hall handled everything with ease and professionalism throughout the day including moving the extremely large, heavy macramé frame to each new location that I had requested.

We really enjoyed having the opportunity to take a bit of time out just before the evening reception. Jess Isherwood (Photographer) and Matt Worthington (Videographer) recommended having some photos later in the Village Garden. Not only were the photos beautiful due to the location but this gave John and I some special time together to reflect on the day.
