Helen & Darach 's Wedding Story
As the marketing officer for The National Piping Centre, Helen was worried that it might be strange to get married at her place of work. But after viewing 4 other venues, with her other half Darach (who is a piper), they felt that The National Piping Centre had everything they were looking for - plus their wedding would be held by work colleagues and friends!
Their ceremony was at Glasgow Cathedral, a short drive away, but the party had booked the 8 bedroom hotel for the entire weekend, so they left from The National Piping Centre and returned there a few hours later.
Helen said: "The service could not have been more professional, friendly and wonderful. The team went out their way to ensure everything was perfect from the decoration, to a special whisky for a grandparent and tracking down the one vegan guest with canapes just for him! The team went above and beyond the whole day - and weekend - to ensure that it was the day of our dreams. It all ran so smoothly, it was fantastic."
As well as on the day, the pre-event service from Natalie and Caitlin and their team was also impeccable. "They answered every email so promptly, and we always there when I was having an indecisive moment. They made everything easy in the run up to the big day."
They also liaised with key external suppliers - cake, photographer, flowers to ensure all deliveries were on time and worked for everyone.
