David & Stewart's Wedding Story
What fabulous wedding! The ceremony was held in the Long Gallery and it looked beautiful. The room was adorned with beautiful spring blooms and poses were tied on to the Chiavari chairs, with thanks to Stucio Waow. The Grooms walked up the aisle, both accompanied by their mothers to the Vitamin String Quartet rendition of the song Gypsy. The celebrant was the lovely Beverley Bryant.
Following the ceremony guests received flowing Prosecco and glasses of Elderflower fizz as they socialised on our sunlit lawns. The lawn tables were decorated with wild flowers in vintage glass vases with thanks to the florist. An array of delicious canapes were also enjoyed by all. The three tier cake was the main focal point of the West room and was lovingly made by the Groom’s sister Naomi. The fire places in the West and East room were also decorated with fresh blooms. The couple had a splendid idea and had a polaroid camera to take photos of their guests. The post box for today was made from a whisky barrel.
This evening’s meal was held in the Ballroom and it looked gorgeous. White table linen and bottle green napkins dressed the tables all with thanks to Style-a-Chair. Whisky barrel lids were the bases for the centre pieces. Balbirnie’s silver candelabras were placed upon them and they were dressed and surrounded by spring blooms. The favours for today were miniature bottles of whisky for the gents and tartan decorations for the ladies. To get this evening’s entertainment underway is the Kilter Ceilidh band and DJ who will keep the dance floor full all night. This evening’s buffet is Macaroni Cheese with toppings for all to enjoy and not to forget delicious wedding cake.
