Catrin & Jozsef's Wedding Story
The wedding ceremony was set in the beautiful Abbey suite, the gorgeous brickwork, beams and traditional chandeliers made for a gorgeous backdrop that in our opinion only needed minimal dressing with some deep blue vases filled with pampas grass and some chiffon draping.
For our colour scheme we opted for a mix of mainly dusty blues and navy. We carried on the colours in the handmade floral centerpieces mixed in with some pale pastels for added lightness.
The style was in my opinion a mix of elegant touches but with a relaxed feel. We mainly wanted to just have things we really liked and that were sentimental; the pampas grass we used was grown in my grandmother's garden, the floral centrepieces were handmade by my friends and myself and the wedding stationery was made for us by one of my best friends.
For me the most memorable part was waiting outside of the Abbey suite with my dad in arm, and hearing my walking down the aisle song come on (a piano cover of Van Morrison's 'Have I told you lately') to walking down the aisle and seeing everyone dear to me standing there greeting me with so much love to turning to see my husband calmly waiting with the biggest smile on his face, a very surreal moment I will cherish forever.
Where to begin? We were blown away by the outstanding service we received throughout the planning of our wedding to actually becoming husband and wife. Our wedding co-ordinator Lucy Meadows was so lovely and accommodating to anything we needed, nothing was ever too much of an ask and we really appreciated having her from start to finish, even popping in on the wedding day morning to check in on me. We were so pleased to be able to have access to soapy beautiful rooms and putdoor spaces too where we were able to get some amazing photos. Everyone we encountered at the venue on multiple occasions were always super polite and helpful.
