"Mike had recently moved to Bedford to begin his new job on the children's ward at Bedford hospital, and I had recently moved back home after Uni.
We met through mutual friends and became great friends ourselves; little did I know at the time that my sister Emily was already on the case and devising a plan to make our romance happen!
Unbeknownst to me, Emily invited Mike to a family get-together on Christmas eve involving our entire family, big sisters eh!
By the end of the night it was like he had known my family for years (they all assumed he was the 'new boyfriend') that night I got my first glimpse into the incredible person Mike is.
Even though it wasn't until several months later when I finally agreed to go out on a date with him, I can honestly look back now and know that Christmas Eve 2018 was the night I started falling in love with my future husband."
