Wedding Make-Up

You want to look natural and radiant on your wedding day, but the stress of planning your big day can soon take its toll. Here we speak to a wedding make-up expert to find out how to look picture perfect...

Preparation is key to looking great. Prepare your skin weeks before, continuing your beauty regime until the big day. Help your skin by drinking plenty of water months before your big day... it really will help keep your skin clear and your eyes bright.

One way to minimize the effects of stress, and to help you feel pampered and relaxed is to hire a professional wedding make-up artist to make you look your best on your big day.

Start your wedding morning by having your wedding make-up professionally applied, ensuring that each blemish is covered, and that you have a flawless finish that will last all day!

“I aim to make brides look and feel like an even more fabulous version of themselves, giving them flawless, radiant skin.” says wedding make-up expert Natalie Bohane, of Cinderella’s Face.

Here are Natalie’s top tips for photo ready wedding make-up:

1. Ask your wedding make-up artist to use a primer under your foundation. A lightweight, long lasting base will ensure your make-up looks fresh and flawless all day long.

2. Go easy on the highlighter pen, especially under the eyes, as it can create unflattering white halos around the eye area in photos. Use a matt concealer instead and blend.

3. Check that your eyeliner and mascara are both waterproof, when those tears start to flow you’ll be glad you thought ahead!

4. For a lasting rosy glow, use powder blush on your cheeks. If you suffer from dry skin, layer the powder blush over cream blush to prevent patchy colour.

If you decide to book a make-up artist, arranging a make-up trial before the big day is highly recommended. This way you can try out and discuss wedding make-up ideas.

Choose a look that suits your skin type and face shape, and don't wear lots of make-up just because it's your wedding day. This is your time to shine!
