Verity Cunningham from Oxfordshire is May’s Power User Prize Winner
Verity has won £250 to spend with Adam Apple Confetti
Verity Cunningham and her fiance Jamie Maitland are getting married on Monday 25th October 2021.
They met at school in Buckinghamshire where they both worked as teachers and they live in Oxfordshire.
“Jamie proposed after we had been together just over 2 years, it was about a month after the first lockdown started, so April 2020. Because the lockdown was in full force, he couldn't propose how he had intended - instead, he surprised me whilst we were eating dinner one night. I genuinely didn't know he was going to do it, so it was a lovely surprise - we're not the kind to make big, romantic gestures, so it was the perfect proposal for us as a couple.“
“Planning is going very well - the venues have been booked since last May/June and we've found making decisions together really easy. We're about to go for our menu tasting, which is very exciting as it means we can also plan the format for our reception. I think the only things we are still working on are our transport and the entertainment for our reception.”
“I've had my dress since June 2020, as I knew exactly what I wanted to go for. We already have the wedding rings and my mum is doing the flowers, which were decided upon about 10 years ago when I first saw a particular type of flower and loved it. Jamie still needs to sort out his suit and we still need to get the bridesmaids' dresses, but we know exactly what we're going for so I'm not too worried.”
