Must-Have Wedding Photos

When looking back through snaps of your big day you don’t want to be thinking ‘I wish I’d had a photo of….’, so to save you the despair we have put together a handy checklist of a few wedding photo must haves. Your photographer will be more than happy to discuss these with you and ensure you’re left with an album to remember.

The Dress - Lets face it; the focal point of every wedding is the brides dress. After breaking your parents bank account to pay for it it’s only fitting that you are left with some stunning shots of it along with your shoes (that you probably spent hours agonising over despite the fact they would be hidden under mountains of white material) and any jewellery or accessories.

Family Photos - Your big day celebrates the joining of two families so make sure you get plenty of shots with your loved ones; both formal and silly! It would be a great idea to speak to your photographer about this before hand so they can make a tick list of groups to organise together for you to save you the stress. This will ensure your special day is relaxed as possible for you.

The Wedding Car - If you’re going to arrive in style make sure to capture your V.I.P moment. Be certain to get some pics of you stepping out of the car and making your dramatic entrance.

The Groom And Groomsman - We know that most brides love the spotlight but it’d be nice to throw a few snaps in there for the groom too! Ask your photographer to capture the guys fastening up their ties, having a laugh and maybe a drink or two to settle the nerves before you both tie the knot.

The Details - After putting pain staking hours, tears and probably tantrums into organising your wedding it will be nice to remember all the little details in years to come. Be sure to include photographs of the bouquets, boutonnieres, empty venues, invitations, order of service and table décor.

Reactions - Capture the emotional moments when you reveal your glam new look to your family, bridesmaids and of course your husband to be. Hold back the tears, you don’t want to ruin your make-up! Candid shots taken throughout the day are sure to fill you with nostalgia when you flick back through your wedding album.
