The Drew's won their wedding

Last week the National Wedding show took place in London’s Earls Court. As well as the hundreds of stalls at the show, there was a sell-out of 7,000 visitors searching for some wedding inspiration. All of the brides there on Saturday witnessed the wedding of Hayley Oakley and Garry Drew.

The couple won their wedding courtesy of the National Wedding Show and on Saturday 3rd October, it all began. Hayley’s big day started being pampered and preened by celebrity wedding stylists, hairdressers and make-up artists Adriane Poole, Errol Douglas and Jane Galpin. Once looking fit for a prince Hayley got into her bead encrusted Benjamin Roberts wedding dress. The groom looked equally handsome sporting a Moss bros morning suit. The couple were officially wed at the Chelsea Registry Office.

With the vows over with the couple were whisked away by a routemaster bus for a private champagne wedding breakfast at Earls Court. Then at 1.20pm Hayley and Garry lead their wedding party through the show to the stage. London Community Gospel Choir set the scene with their beautiful rendition of ‘All You Need is Love’ as reverend Rosie Harper lead the 7,000 crowd in prayers.

"It has been an amazing day so far, more wonderful than we could have ever imagined."

Laurence Llewellyn Bowen and his wife Jackie, had been handing out anecdotes to those who wanted some advice from the couple who recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Not to be left out of the celebration, they gave the happy couple tickets to their dream honeymoon in Mauritius which was washed down with a glass of champagne. It was all smiles from the couple,“it’s been an amazing day so far,” said Hayley, “more wonderful than we could have ever imagined”.

After the excitement of the show the wedding party went off to the Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place hotel for the wedding reception. From there the party danced itself into the small hours.

We, at UKbride, would like to wish the newlyweds the best of luck for the future.
