Katherine Riley is December’s Power User Prize Winner | UKbride

Katherine Riley and Joshua Lovesey, who live in Cardiff, Wales, have their wedding booked for April 28th, 2026.

The couple first met in Swindon during the summer of 2009, just before starting secondary school. “We both work in retail,” shared Katherine, reflecting on their journey together.

Joshua proposed on Valentine’s Day 2023 in a sweet and personal moment at home. “We had just returned from a family holiday in Egypt, and he managed to get the day off work at the last minute. He planned a cozy movie day with snacks, and during a break, he brought out the snacks—and then the ring! It was perfect.”

Katherine and Joshua are taking their time planning their wedding, with a longer engagement giving them the chance to move at their own pace. “Wedding planning is going well so far. We’ve already booked our venue, caterers, and photographer. We’re currently looking at decorations, and I’ll be starting dress shopping next April.”

Winning a prize through UKbride was an incredible experience for Katherine. “It honestly felt amazing! I’ve never won any competitions before, so this was a wonderful surprise. UKbride has been so helpful in keeping everything organized. As the first person in my immediate family to get engaged, having access to resources like the table planner has been a huge help. I know it’s going to make seating arrangements so much easier.”
