Dream Wedding Winners Naomi and Sean!

Dream Wedding Winners Naomi and Sean!

We speak to UKbride newlyweds Naomi and Sean — winners of our fantastic annual win a £25,000 dream wedding competition — about their big day, tying the knot, a magical honeymoon, and married life...

Awakening on the morning of her wedding, Naomi Jones felt like the majority of brides do on their big day; a fusion of excitement, eagerness, nervousness, and apprehension. The difference however, between Naomi and most other brides marrying in the UK last November, is that unlike the others, Naomi had UKbride’s help to fulfil her fantasy of a dream white wedding!

Champion couple Naomi and Sean were treated to a fabulous £25,000 wedding, thanks to UKbride’s fantastic annual win a dream wedding competition!

The pair tied the knot at the striking 18th Century mansion Landguard Manor on the Isle of Wight. Of the venue, the couple said; “It looked spectacular, we couldn’t have asked for any more, it was absolutely stunning!”

Naomi fully endorsed matrimonial superstitions and avoided seeing Sean the morning of the wedding. The eager bride-to-be stayed at her parents’ house the night before the big day, and got herself ready for the ceremony away from Sean’s prying eyes!

Whilst their celebrations ran smoothly, there were one or two dramas on the day itself which Naomi was happy to share with us;

“My biggest fear — falling down the stairs — was fulfilled as I tripped on my way down to the ceremony! Luckily, my dad was there to break my fall and catch me, but I just knew that was going to happen!”

The flowers (which the couple hadn’t seen prior to the ceremony) were beautiful — the arrangements of Calla Lillies and Orchids in black, ivory, and purple “complemented the venue perfectly.”

Whilst Naomi had remained tight-lipped about her dress in the run up to the big day (she was adamant that she would not disclose any details in the fear that hubby Sean might overhear,) when we last spoke she finally broke her silence and was more than happy to spill the beans about her fabulous frock;

“My dress had a sweetheart neckline, it was pleated and pulled in at one side. It was ivory with elegant diamante detailing.”

And Sean’s reaction to Naomi’s gorgeous gown...?

“It was nice...” he joked, “...no, it was stunning really! Naomi looked beautiful!”

In addition, the conventional role of sentimental mother of the bride was satisfied on their big day — “she didn’t stop crying from start to finish”, Naomi said.

After a blissful stint of honeymooning in Jamaica, the pair returned to a snowy Isle of Wight. Naomi said that their time abroad was “the best holiday we’ve ever had.” The couple told us about the most memorable moments of their Jamaican honeymoon, one of which was their chance to swim with dolphins, thanks to a gift from Naomi’s grandfather;

“My grandfather gave us some money to spend on something special whilst we were away, and swimming with dolphins seemed like an amazing opportunity and it’s definitely a memory we can cherish forever.”

All in all Naomi and Sean thoroughly enjoyed their day and were extremely grateful to UKbride for giving them the opportunity to host such an amazing occasion; “Our wedding exceeded all expectations; it was by far the day we had both dreamt of.”
