This May, UKbride Power Users were in with the chance to win a stunning pearl-embellished bridal veil from the exquisite Hayze Bridal – and we’re delighted to announce that the winner is bride-to-be Skye Scanlon from Liverpool!
Skye is currently planning her wedding to fiancé Joshua Johnson, and the couple are looking forward to saying ‘I do’ on 10th June 2027 . Skye is a corporate tax manager and Joshua is a complaints handler – they first met on Tinder and now share a home in Liverpool.
Joshua popped the question on 8th June 2024, during a magical sunset dinner at the Amalfi Coast Restaurant in Rhodes, Greece. “It was so romantic – the most beautiful moment of my life,” says Skye.
With the venue booked, mood boards made, and suppliers being lined up, wedding planning is well underway. Skye hasn’t chosen her dress just yet but is planning a special shopping trip with just her mum later in the year – keeping it all under wraps until the big day!
When Skye found out she’d won the pearl-covered veil from Hayze Bridal, she was over the moon. “Pearl is actually my middle name, and it was also my nanna’s name. She’s sadly no longer with us, so wearing something with pearls on my wedding day will feel like having a little piece of her there with me. It’s more than just a veil – it’s a beautiful reminder of love that never leaves.”
