Congratulations to Abigale Bentley – Winner of a £500 Voucher from The Tie Garden!
Each month, our UKbride Power Users are automatically entered into amazing prize draws – and in May, the prize was a fantastic £500 voucher to spend at The Tie Garden, specialists in stylish accessories for grooms and groomsmen. We’re thrilled to announce that our lucky winner is bride-to-be Abigale Bentley from Cumbria!
Abigale is currently training to become a mental health nurse, while also working part-time as a Cinema and Events Host. Her fiancé, Oliver Burbury, is a hard working landscaper and true jack-of-all-trades. The couple met through mutual friends and hit it off straight away – their first date was at a charming little Italian restaurant.
The proposal came in March 2025, during a trip to the beautiful city of Prague. “We were walking over the Charles Bridge when I bent down to take a photo,” says Abigale. “When I turned around, Oliver was on one knee! People started clapping, which made me a bit shy – so I just hid in Oliver’s chest. It was such a perfect moment.” And there’s a funny twist too – the ring didn’t quite fit! “In our first photo together, you can definitely tell it doesn’t fit – but it makes for a great story!”
Wedding planning is already in motion, with ideas being gathered and suppliers being booked. “We haven’t chosen the dress yet, but I’m definitely getting inspired by different styles,” says Abigale. “The very first thing we booked, actually, was the band!”
On winning the £500 voucher for The Tie Garden, Abigale says she and Oliver are over the moon. “It’s such a generous prize and will help so much with kitting out the groom and his party. The Tie Garden has a beautiful range, so we feel very lucky.”
Although she’s only recently joined UKbride, Abigale is already finding it incredibly useful. “I love the budget feature – it’s really helpful keeping everything on track!”
