Huge congratulations and lots of Ukbride love to Lynda Carthy this month as the UKbride is revealed as our Power User winner for February. We phoned Lynda earlier and surprised her with the news that she'll walk down the aisle in a designer wedding dress courtesy of Catherine Parry - tipped to be one of the hottest bridalwear designers of 2015.
Lynda and Chris live in Stockport near Greater Manchester and have known each other since the age of 14, meeting at friend's party. Having gone their separate ways in life, the couple got back in touch with one another after Chris saw Lynda on TV, talking about her her son's rare genetic condition, leukodystrophy. Chris was moved to get back in touch and the couple fell in love once again.
"We were never happy apart, and we should never have split up, but we're now so much in love and we're really enjoying planning our wedding. I was so shocked when UKbride called. I've been using the site to look for wedding venues and wedding fairs. It's time to get planning!"
